Then we'd hear Garrett saying, 'Damn!' a lot and have to hope we'd saved a ways back so we could find a different route past the too-savvy guards.
What if Garrett was trapped, hanging from a rope (arrow) with angry guards down below and angrier guards up above; only this time the guards didn't end up losing interest and wandering away.
