Does the current version include the day/night cycles? I read that they were done away with at one point. I'm looking forward to dark screenies. More on the arrows: in TDP, there's a mission where Garrett starts off with 90 broadheads. Even sniping at many AIs, it was always pretty excessive, and for players who don't kill much or don't use broadheads much, that's where I thought a crystal replacing the heads made even more sense.
With air elementals, is there a Hand Mage connection, or just the elementalism of that world?

Yep. :) Stealth will have a light sensor (much like Garrett's gem) that will make it easier to stay undetected, depending on the darkness level of the area. Light sources will affect it too, so if the player walks near a torch he'll be easier to spot.

Air Mages will summon them, like they did in TG. I've also made water elementals (hopefully they won't flood the whole place this time). Too bad there are no earth elementals to be used as reference, I'm afraid a floating boulder wouldn't quite nail it. :p

The Earth Mages cast crushing vines, similar to Viktoria, but smaller and less binding. On a technical level, it's the same game mechanic for the player as from the binding webs cast by the huge red SpiderBeasts, only with the different art, angle, and sounds, with the addition of Garrett grunting and loss of HP once in awhile.

Well, I'm happily impressed so far with many of your decisions, speaking as a lone voice, here, heh heh. I'm surprised that there isn't much history with TTLG and UO, just the Ultima Underworlds.

A RPG based on Thief? Looks great. Being an Hammerite would be awesome!

Yeah, Earth Mages will cast those too ;) It will probably be a medium-high level spell. I'm trying to balance the four elements by giving to each one a variety of damaging spells, area damage spells, protective enchantments and summoned elementals. The Earth Mages will probably summon a treebeast or a lesser dryad, since they appear to be less strictly "earthly" and more "plantly" - two of them were
discussing the return of the Trickster in the talisman room of their towers, too, so there could be a Trickster -> plants -> earth connection of some kind. And plain, rocky earth is just boring.
EDIT: here's something more!

Ah, yes. Good good!
Speaking of floating rocks, there's that in-joke conversation where angry Mages brought rocks, "glowing" like the moon, hurtling down from the sky above onto a character's head for stealing flowers off tables.
