A quiet evening in Auldale, a servant greets some shady fella fooling around near a wall.
Here's what the servant sees:

Inline Image:
http://imageshack.us/a/img46/9149/glyphs2.pngAs a Keeper, our anonymous guy is able to see glyphs all over the City: some of them just placed as warning and messages, others signaling the location of concealed doorways, like this one.

http://imageshack.us/a/img32/9054/glyphs3.pngAfter resupplying the place, it's time to leave a message so that other Keepers can come by and pick up whatever they need.

http://imageshack.us/a/img9/3065/glyphs4.pngThere.
Inline Image:
http://imageshack.us/a/img29/2860/glyphs5.pngAll done. Better go before the servant comes back.

http://imageshack.us/a/img542/4681/glyphs6.pngGlyphs can also have more practical uses. Let's follow our guy in some random cave, where he finds himself in the need of facing a giant spider. The Penteclees Glyph might come in handy

http://imageshack.us/a/img824/7892/glyphs7.pngHey there.
Inline Image:
http://imageshack.us/a/img580/3263/glyphs8.pngAs the spider charges our keeper, it also springs the glyph-trap and...
Inline Image:
http://imageshack.us/a/img28/7167/glyphs9.png Yep, dead.
Since it was dark as hell, here's how the trap effect looks in broad daylight.

http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/9128/trapw.pngThere we are. Glyphs, Pagan spells and Hammerite prayers are 100% done. We've started working on the actual world/City map, enemies and mobs (Hammerites & City guards are all set - of course the Hammerites count as "enemies" only if you're a criminal, a wanted man or a Pagan). I'm leaving the Mages on our least priority list, since they're not quite as important as lots of other stuff in the setting, mostly City and/or factions-related, but I'll get to them too eventually.
That's all for now. Builder bless you. ;)

Thanks :D this could come in handy. I've been searching for as many infos as possible about artifacts and unique items, like the Horn of Quintus or Constantine's sword, just in case. ;)
jtr7 on 13/6/2013 at 12:54
Cool. As usual, lemme know if you'd like something lacking in your searches, or before a search. There are three different appearances of Con's Sword, and two for the Horn of Quintus. The list of special items is pretty long, so I'll let you indicate which of anything you'd like to know about in general or as high in detail as we have.

Two horns of Quintus? That's new O_o are they both in-game models?
Crevan on 14/6/2013 at 11:44
@Albert: Yeah, accounts must be created by game admins and are of course, being a free server, free. :P Hopefully, once we're done with some more game graphics and scripts, we can start playtesting with those willing to try it out :)
Thieves can go solo or cooperate, the greatest thing about Ultima Online is an almost complete freedom. Apart from the Lockpicking skill, there's also a "Stealing" skill that allows the player to pickpocket other PCs and NPCs. It's quite Thief-friendly actually (most of my UO characters were thieves, of course :P). I'm even thinking about scripting some sort of in-game gambling system since, let's face it, we've all been at the Overlord's Fancy at least once and loved it.
@jtr7: thanks for the Horn (and R.I.P. Felix), this should be useful. :) As for the Eye, do you happen to have a screen of the three models you mentioned? We're probably gonna place the server's timeline some sixty-odd years before the events of TDP, so the Old Quarter's still inhabited and the *ahem* Eye hasn't hit the fan yet. Might as well leave it as a future option. ;)

For the future option, an oversight or something they couldn't get to on time, the Fake Eye and Eye in the Trickster's possession should have a red-orange (mosquito-full-of-blood red) and black marks like flames on the base, instead of the grayish blue, with the eyeball and prongs gripping it firmly onto the top of the gem's tip. I hope someone makes that skin for a texture pack!
Here're the models. The first one is the TDP/Gold model used:

Inline Image:
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i106/jtr7/Artifact_TheEye.jpg~originalIt makes sense to me that the center of the bottom of the base has the exposed backside of the milky gemstone running through the center, as it was going to take in what it saw from the Heartsmaw on the element powered-up pedestal, and project it out onto The City--a DARKness PROJECTion.
It was originally to be attached to a wand, and in the famous cutscene, it is. TDS got the base color close (not textured with the crustiness, and missing the hexagonal flower pattern on the upper side), but the object-maker included the dragon teeth (as they are labeled in the gamefiles) of the wand's top on the base of The Eye itself, and gave them the same color as the prongs, all of which were supposed to be planty material, like twigs of porous wood:
