Thanks pavlovcat :-)
Where's the switch in the attic? It's pretty baron up there so I Don't understand why I can't find it :-(Are there any rope arrows to find?
Deathshadow:
I'm stuck with The switch for the attic was kind of tricky Please Tell where it is?, and the need to fit two boxes in that narrow space was kind of tough too. What narrow space? So far I've only found 2 frobable boxes in the alcove under the stairs in the inn. Where do they go? :confused:

That is certainly your choice, Komag. Hopefully, someone will put together a multi-language version. I haven't the slightest idea how (unless someone wants to teach me). I did what I could to get a version that is playable in English.
Part of the problem is that if you use the German language version of Thief, you can't see the way the English version will look. Until someone using the English version plays it, there is no way to tell if it is correct. I don't believe Theker had an English beta tester available, so that makes it much harder. I am just happy to see a translation at all even if it took some work to be able to play it.
Both problems are not that difficult to solve, even if you don't own an english version of Thief. But it's quite technical and difficult to explain and doesn't really belong in here, so I save the trouble to do that in this thread. If you are interested in that topics, just send me a PM.

thanks for updated version!
btw Text 5.str still has a space between t and 5 (unlike other .str files). Is it intentional? I too hope someone will put together a proper multi-lang version (myself got no idea how to do it :().

I have the fire arrow and know where the bell is. Now what? I've hit the bell dozens of time from the ground, found my way up to it and hit it with the arrow just to make sure,and nothing happens.

And I appreciate your work. I know it's not always easy to coordinate an international language FM release. As one of the main FM download sites, I'm just hoping to make it as easy as possible for as many people as possible to play this new mission, that's all :)

The bell is just decoration.
The rope next to it is the thing to take care about. Just pull it and the fire talisman will apear on top of the pedestal, standing nearby. I got the hand on the little shelf where the riddle is after shooting a fire arrow
at the bell, but How do I get to this rope?

<after checking>
I don't see any rope anywhere. Is it by the bell? Is it by the door? Are we talking about the same bell?

How do I kill the treebeast? I thought it would be easy, but it's NOT. He kills me every time after I hit him more than a dozen times. :confused:

@Gloria
It is not that easy!! This is what I had to do: I waited until he settled down then snuck behind & hit him with an over head sword slash. Then I hit him as many times as I could quickly. When he started to turn towards me, I put away the sword and ran to hide behind one of the dark corner columns. I'd wait for him to settle down again and repeat this. It took me 4 times, I think. It takes a while, but it does work. :tsktsk: :laff:
