i never been in light fixture i though i had to access it from the bottom ladder in platform in lava,that is why i asked where is other way to it,i looked everywhere

you must have though i was up there already,but i havent been,sorry about confusion

Now I am confused. In my understanding, the ladder is initially in the up position, invisible from the lava, and it should not have been possible for the ladder to be extended down from the light fixture without you having first been in the light fixture and flipping the switch. And, the only way to get into the light fixture initially is to access it by the secret passage.

Note to nightshifter: Is my understanding wrong? Is this a bug?

OK, thanks for the information. Here is the way.
When you first enter the main building of The Old Compound, you find a stair landing before descending some stairs. Look for a trap door in the ceiling. Open it and then find the switch to deploy its ladder.

Sorry about my confusion. I had never observed your ladder sequence. I felt that, if it were a bug, I needed to understand it.

EDIT: I had previously played Expert and Hard, and I didn't see this premature ladder extension. I went back and played Normal, and I didn't see it there either.

when i created that room ( and the song) I was sure " he was a she" :cool: I found out when looking at a list with transcriptions from all the sound files. that's why it became a little sidestory. check the diary in arielle's room: "I need Isachar, our Master of The Numbers. But I fear the worst ... I found a note upstairs in his quarters. @nightshifter,

Did you see my comment above about downwinder's apparent observation of the light fixture ladder being already deployed before he could have deployed it? I can't understand it. It could be a bug.

@peter: I'm sure that downwinder has to use the lever for the ladders first.(I just pointed out how to get there. there simply is no way that ladders are there before using the lever. ( perhaps downwinder is refering to an early alpha ?)

Finished just now and i had to check both endings :D Overall i truly enjoyed this from start to finish and i never felt bored. Not once. It's a huge step up from The Librarian and it really shines.
