Probably not at all. 1.10 uses NewDark and loading earlier savegames is not recommended.

they should load, but expect anomalies - just move them from the old install into the new one.
also, took the NewDark Thief demo from the release topic, and added the Assassins mission from the second original demo (resources modified accordingly, plus a bunch of map tweaks that fix a couple of minor issues). this is as much free TDP as you can get in one easy package. let me know if you find any anomalies.

Wow, I did not even know that Thief Gold had its own demo.
Just a nit: could you correct the labels for increasing/decreasing Gamma, please ? ;)
Right now the configureable settings always have the opposite effect, besides the UI labels are wrong.
The following file needs to be corrected with the settings as stated below :
updates\intrface.crf\english\OPTIONS.STR
bindname_49: "Gamma +"
bindname_50: "Gamma -"

ok, noted.
yeah, as already mentioned, TG demo contains the first part of the Thieves Guild mission (streets, restaurant, and casino). it should be playable just by dropping NewDark into the demo folder (and activating the T1 mode properly).

Just played 'Baffords' and found a few issues.
Sorry in case any of them are considered problem with the original maps or anything else.
But first a few thoughts on the demo in general (and probably on the Thief2 demo as well):
Since the readme suggests that these demos showcase the capabilities of NewDark and mods, etc,
why not enable PostProcessing by default with default values ?
Anyone who does not like it, might still disable it.
But I guess most people would like to see the demos in all their glory without the hazzle to figure out the details.
The same goes for the HUD-scaling (d3d_disp_scaled_2d_overlay 2)
Ok, now a few issues.
- Outside. The two guards at the start behave odd after blackjacking and then saving/reloading. They will be standing upright and sunken into the ground up to their waistes after reload.
- Basement. There is a water basin in the floor (2x2 meters). At the water-level the textures chang. Below the surface it appears to be tile and stone above.- 1st Floor. Stairs leading down from the bathroom to the small room that can be peaked into from the basement.
Basicly all the torches on the wall on your way down are floating.
Right at the start at the top, the wall on the right has a grey stone texture instead of the sand-color.
In the room at the bottm, the table and chair are floating.
- 2nd Floor. South-East, dining room. Light is shining through the door onto the door frame on the outside.
- 2nd Floor. North-East, bedroom. The alignment of the black/white stairs is off on the sides and compared to the hallway as well.
There are two floating tables and 2 floating chairs, as well as a couple of floating paintings on the walls.
- 2nd Floor. South-West, near guard overseeing the foyer.
Light is shining through the fireplace onto the wall behind.
Upstairs, in the storeroom, there are 3 floating tumbled benches.
