Should you happen to find noteworthy mods which have not already been presented on these forums, it would be nice of you to make dedicated threads about them, so that everyone may benefit from that knowledge
Mmmmmm, i shalt think about that. Maybe i'll go to Darkfate, use the Google Traductor and make a zip file that contains a load of good mods from there. There's plenty of mods like ENB Series Thief which was never even heard of, but these exist and works correctly, even in the demo versions for the most part. But first i'm thinking about remaking the cutscenes of the demo versions of Thief 1 and 2, it would look like something LIKE this : (

they had to remove the detail from the city to get the inside of the tower done if memory serves.
It would be interesting to see if NewDark could handle a version of Life of the Party with the deleted areas from Unwelcome Guest merged into it. Would be a lot of work though, since they didn't just wall off areas but also moved things around.

What am I seeing? Some video mutilating something original from Thief and ZB doesn't give a remark about it?
Anyway, what is that project anyway and where did it come from? A very nice idea, but I think that remake worsened things more than it improved.

redone cutscenes would be nice, but the problem is, you need to be really good to make them look any good. or you will end up with the thing from that last youtube link.

Well if that's going to be a problem then... just forget about it, instead, i'll search for links on hard-to-reach Thief sites and see if there's stuff i can find that's interesting and that works for the Thief demos. There's a ENB series Thief that works quite well, in fact one of the most interesting features is that it completely blinds you when you see the flashbomb's explosion. The flash keeps the screen black for about exactly the same time as the guards recover from blindness. So it improves difficulty since you can't just spam flashbombs.
Honestly, the only problem big problem with your demos that i had is that i saw that the Thief Demo United doesn't have any texture or HD mods at all, in fact the priority of mods that i'll be searching for is for Thief 1, for Thief 2 i saw you already did your thing and honestly it's perfect already and doesn't need a ton of mods that eats the computer. After all, most of the PC community has computers that are barely more powerful than the PS3. Yeah, no kidding.

the T1 demo is kept very close to the original intentionally.

Then... why did you add high poly and HD textures mods for the Thief 2 demo? I don't really see the artistic logic in this. Otherwise if you intend people to experience the Thief demos like they once were, remember that they can disable stuff themselves. In fact you detailed that yourself on the Thief 2 demo. Honestly, I see no reason that the Thief 2 demo has HD textures and the Thief 1 demos doesn't.

looks like I forgot to reply to this - it's because I do not have to follow any logic. I do what my mind tells me to do.
anyway, T2 Demo v1.12 is up, updated to NewDark 1.24, fixed the few reported bugs and tweaked a bunch of things, replaced the bell with a working model so it swings again now, added wood to fireplaces, retouched the Angelwatch unfinished roof a small bit and made it accessible via a secret way as an easter egg (lets see who finds it first). download in the first post.
also, someone somewhere sometime asked whether it would be feasible to port full FMs into the demo or something along those lines, so answering here - no it's not, it's both too much work and you probably wouldn't avoid breaking copyright as well. you still can create FMs for the demo, if you want to distribute a free FM (without the need to purchase the full game).
//tweaked the teleports a tiny bit and reuploaded. also, you can use NecroAge or EP2 with the demo now, just drop the one you want to the root folder.

Ah, found it!
Using the four crates to climb up a chimney is nice, but it's much easier and faster with just a rope arrow and a ladder. :thumb:
Also, nice touch there with the Raven Shrine and its little secret.

T2 demo updated to 1.13 - nothing important, just fixed one object and retouched the interactive candles (T2 demo had an older version of the setup, slightly inferior to what is included in TFix).
