i don't have a unzipper that is the issue, and i don't want to download anything else on my comp
Huh, OKeeeyy... why ?_?
Not even a portable software (= that you don't need to install) ?
Would it be OK if the archive was a self-extracting exe ?

Maybe he still uses old fashioned unbuttoners? For those who can't figure out how to use unzippers and unbuttoners, maybe they should wait for velcro?

i don't have a unzipper that is the issue, and i don't want to download anything else on my comp, why does the file have to be zipped is it that hard to have a unziped version, the file size was already massive for a zipped file, how much bigger could it be for a demo level if it was not zipped?
You're still on dialup, aren't you.
"I'm having a problem."
"Here's how you fix the problem."
"I don't WANNA!"

Anyway, if for some reason you can't install stuff but are still able to use command line :
- download (
http://constancejill.free.fr/FreeTools/7z.sfx) to the same folder where you have the archive (it's less than 1 MB)
- open cmd
- from command line, navigate to the folder where both 7z.sfx and the archive are (typically, cd /d "
drive_and_path_to_my_download_folder")
- enter the following command :
copy /b 7z.sfx + t2_lost_alpha_demo.7z t2_lost_alpha_demo_sfx.exe
Don't forget the "+" symbol to concatenate the files, and of course, if the filename is different, change it
Now you have a self-extracting 7z archive. Run it and extract wherever you want.

one should not judge other man's insanity, for his own might get judged then.
apparently, he's happy with waiting, so everything is ok - I'm almost sure the self-installable version will be released before christmas. ho-ho-ho.

Refusing to download Winrar/7zip to play the demo is like refusing to download Darkloader to play an FM. I'm guessing there's a lack of understanding in how it all works here.

he might have a phobia/irrational fear of installing new programs/tools on his pc. this kind of phobia is not that uncommon.

if it was more then just a demo i might get a unzipper but for a mission that would probably take me about 30 min i can wait, thank you all for concern
if the demo was self-extracting i would be fine with that :)
and the reason zipped files first came out was to compact the size of file to make it quicker to download.
i got dsl
