I copied T2 DARK.GAM to T2 demo folder, then blockjacking will not work. But there are a lot of strange bugs (e.g. boradhead arrows are eternals).

the T2 demo gamesys sits somewhere between TG and T2 - that means it's not possible to use TG or T2 gamesys without serious problems.

the classic Dark Project demo (early version of Bafford's) is already available in the (

I didn't know that TG has dmo. But TDP has 2 demos. Second demo contain mission Assassins.

ah, true, completely forgot about that one. I think the conversion to NewDark should be as simple as applying the latest 1.21 package and activating the T1 compatibility mode, but I'll have a look just to be sure (edit: yes, this seems to work fine, with only the extra mission screen that replaces movie briefing missing, which is not a big deal. the map, unlike the alpha T2 demo map and the beta T1 Bafford's demo map appears to be identical with the full T1 release map). maybe I'll take the already existing NewDark demo and merge them into a one single "complete" demo or something screwy like that.
also, received the blockjacking fix, so I'm going to add it (together with a bunch of c-beam's textures) in the next version of the T2 demo, just to make Xmodule999 (un?)happy.

Generally I am unhappy; original Thief 2 demo is IMO still better because of one thing from original release as I like it - the player can negate Garrett's fall by using the sword and the blackjack.
I reported blockjacking exploit because for some reason I don't like it (just because).

is not, for I have fixed one trillion bugs and added dousable candles. why would you want to fly if you have dousable candles?

the NewDark readme explains how to use the updated engine with T1. basically, you need to add dark1 into cam.cfg, and make sure the game also loads a modified intrface.crf which is included in NewDark's doc folder (T1.7z). that should make all T1 engine games (T1, TG, and their demos as well) work. do note that certain things need to be manually patched on the maps for everything to work as intended - hence, TFix.
