yeah, i was hoping i could get someone to list the default values for the lockpicking window, I removed it for a more realistic way of playing but now it's just getting frustrating.
can anyone post the original values in their t3ui.ini?
all i need are the scale_x, y and z default values from [LockPickHUDWindow] to [LockPickHUDStageWindow6]

just out of curiosity, what changes by altering these values?
I never noticed a difference in difficulty in the different stages of picking a lock..

All the lock picking hud does is show a 'mini' representation of what your hands are already doing. Watch the position of the hands vs. the position of the picks in the mini hud...same thing. I really don't understand why it's there...other than to allow the player to see inside the lock and how many rings it has, which is a cheat if you ask me. I suggest you leave the hud off, watch the hands, watch how the latch on top of the lock quivers and listen for the picking sounds to clue you into when a lock is close. If you take the time to get the hang of it, and learn the trick...it's simple.

I found it easier with the HUD turned off. Well it's more like a HDD because it's at the bottom.

It's not that it makes it difficult, it's just after a while I just want to get into that door/chest without any problem. It just gets frustrating after a while since I get so close to the sweet spot and then lose it the next nanosecond.
And thank you Soul for posting this.

I can pick the locks faster with my eyes closed, seriously. You just have to learn the pattern. How are you moving your mouse when you pick? I move mine in small clockwise or counter clockwise movements. When you hear the sweet spot, press the left mouse button...easy as pie. I think a lot of people don't know about pressing the left mouse button....the Hud is completely pointless.

Yes, once the lockpicking starts, just move the mouse in a circle. When the sweet spot is reached, the angle of Garrett's hands changes. I never really listen for sound changes. Then hold down the left button and either the next stage is reached or the door opens.
