So I've been through this forum and seen all the threads I thought would help, but I'm still having a big problem. I can run Thief: DS on the Vista Business OS just fine. The only problem I'm having now is just saving the games! I save the game, but when I go back to load the game, there are no save points to load! I am running the game on a core 2 duo processor if this little detail helps.
I'd really like to play this game. I've gone through it on my XBox, but its just not the same as playing it with a keyboard mouse. Thanks for any help that can be offered. Hopefully someone else has had this issue previously and already solved it.

never heard of this issue before . . . it might be Vista only <shrugs>

If you save the game, does it appear in the list immediately? Can you load it before you quit the game? Can you quicksave-quickload during the game?
Open 'My Documents\Thief - Deadly Shadows\SaveGames\' folder, apply 'table view' for it so that you can see the dates of the folders/files in it. Sort files by date.
Run Thief, make a save (new save, not quick save)
Alt+Tab it (do not quit) and see the folder again re-sort by date if needed - is anything changed? Does any new folder appear?

well...I tried reinstalling it and then applying the patch once again...this time, it is said that "This save game is damaged and cannot be loaded. Do you wish to delete it instead?" Searching through the threads, I think I found a solutions and will try it later (link below). Hopefully this works. Thank you for the replies.

I have noticed that with Vista, TDS puts the saves under "Public\Public Documents", not "'username'\Documents" . I don't know why it puts them there, but you may want to check that folder if you haven't already.
