Hi,
I haven't been able to find the command lines available for Thief.exe and Thief2.exe, in TTLG or in Google. Are there any by the way ?
I'd like to launch quick save automatically, I was hopping to find a command line like that : thief2.exe -quickload

If I understand your question, I don't think there are any parameters that you can specify as part of the command line to run the executable.
There are LOTS of parameters that are checked when Thief starts up in the bnd and cfg files (for examples look at dark.bnd and user.cfg). You can find the binding for quick save and change the key press for it. But why would you want to have it happen on start-up?

brush -> no, but thanks, this post will be useful for me
LarryG -> Why ?
Ahem...I have the privilege to play at...work. So I quit Thief a lot of time when somebody arrives at my desk. And I'm tired of quickloading through the thief menu. I wanna improve the process :cheeky:
(I've begin to translate "Finals at the Academy" in French, there's so much to do, I don't know if I'll ever finish one day...)

Yeah, I have fond memories on the german translation for that one.
Took 3 people people like 2.5 weeks or so... and we even had to decide that 2 texts would not be translated at all - due to the massive amount of text.

@gnartsch: I love all of you translators for putting up with me and doing it anyway! And more to the point, I'm sure the Russian and Germanic speakers would never have understood the mission without your work.
@Apiai: You do know that there is this thing called alt-tab which lets you switch windows quickly, leaving Thief up and running while you do something else. There are also these things called KVM switches which allow you to hook 2 computers up to one monitor and one keyboard and one mouse, and switch between CPUs at a touch of a button or special key combination. depending on your needs they can be had for $30-$200.
Seriously, I don't think there is an easy way to start up in a quick-save automagicly.

It could work if you played through Dromed and not T2.exe, but I doubt you want to do that.

something like quake , quake allowed to do this thing ,
in thief yuo have to click on the .exe (or the shortcurt) go in load , chose a savegame then press load total - four steps in total
in quake was just 2 clicks 1 on quake.exe and then F9 for the quicksave , and you jump from the main menu to the quicksave this work with TDM also :)
if i 'm not wrong
maybe yuo can give a look at bind

Alt-tab is dangerous at work, a big button with Thief Icon is displayed in the taskbar, and you'll never know how long a colleague is going to stay at your desk, if he stays long, he'll surely finish to ask "what is that yellow icon ?"
I'm going to test another thing : keyboard simulator program, i don't know if it'll work.
