Thiefless... and in need of comfort. - by Reliance

Oh, the exasperation... I bought my new Macbook Pro for my continued education at Notre Dame (which is YAY!), but, of course, my PC decides to take a knife to its gut. So, for the moment, no more Thief.
Then my family has to move, and I being the ever caring son, decided to take my jeep and a truckload of junk to the new house (14 hours away, which was :eww: ) and now, the box with my Thief installation cd's is MIA. (Thief Gold, Metal Age, and Deadly Shadows) The Horror... the horror...
So, for the moment, I'm thiefless.. *sighs*
Hopefully, soon, I will have either XP or Windows 7 installed and my cd's will show themselves, the bloody sons of tits.
On a side note, has anyone installed the Windows 7 RC operating system? How does it run with Thief?

Thief 2 works just as well for me on Win 7 RC (64) as it does on Vista 64, which is to say perfectly. Just gotta set Compatibility Mode to "Windows XP Service Pack 3" and apply the usual ddfix (+ widescreen if you like) patches.
Hope you find your discs. :)

What if he happens to not own them anymore and he does not know?
This is really painful Reliance. I also figured out some weeks ago that my Thief discs were missing (I've managed to found the discs where I burnt T2X only - :( ). I've managed to get T1 and T2 via ebay at a very reasonable price but I overlooked the fact that I had T1Gold and I now find myself with the standard Thief1.
The only Gold I am able to find via ebay is a no-no (good luck selling it!), and looks like my ISP started to filter protocols recently.
But anyway, the question arises: if I buy something I probably own but maybe not, do I still own it?
I want to make sure I don't end up ... thieving thief. :D Isn't this a bit of an irony?
