Interesting; seems there's disagreement about this. Gnartsch, for one, disagrees with you; he has all three categorized as demos. I do not play T3 myself so I've been trusting his categorizations. Any idea why you two disagree about this?

A few T3 missions are missing:
Unknown Temple Demo by Judith
Impurities in the Mix by David Ziemans
Two Steps by David Ziemans
I consider all of them well worth hosting.
'Unknown Temple' is just a visual demo, but nice. And the quality is comparable to the Thief2 'Beauty Contest' missions.
The other two - I believe - were officially released as 'demo', but indeed I found them well-worth playing, or in other words : they are
complete & real missions if I am not terribly mistaken! So, it is really a matter of interpretation what 'demo' means.
Actually the same arguing applies to the 3 Thief2 missions that I posted on the 'Missing Missions' page.
While I have
tons of 'demos' for Thief (that I did not want to bother you with), these few can be considered good enough so that
everybody should know them.
Batman Demo
Partytime (demo rework)
Bathory AI Museum

thiefmissions doesn't generally host demos, at least not in the main database, and as far as I know, everything you list is a demo. Is that not correct? (Actually I can't immediately come up with any info on the "Jailbreak" you mention, so if you want to provide a link, I'll take a look.)
It is in the plans to eventually keep track of demos somehow, and at that time I'll try to track them all down. That time isn't now, though.
JailBreak v3 is on ThiefMissions.com already (see author Schwaa)
Once the time comes to dig up the demos around, check this : (
http://www.gnartsch.de/Thief-FM/Thief_demos.shtml) Demos or simply stroll around on my messy main page (
http://www.gnartsch.de/Thief-FM/Thief-FanMissions.shtml) http://www.gnartsch.de/Thief-FM/Thief-FanMissions.shtml and navigate to Demos. :cheeky:

For me, if it doesn't load through the usual mission loaders or it has no actual gameplay (i.e. no objectives), then I don't want it in the main archive. I know there are some ancient things that violate this, and some of the beauty contest missions are right on the edge, but I do get to make an occasional executive decision.
So it does sound like there are a few things that deserve to be added, so I'll track them down.
For the Jailbreak thing, Iceblade had originally listed some T3 mission called Jailbreak, but then edited his post after I responded. I'm not at all sure what that was about.
For demos as a whole, the existence of your list is what makes it even reasonable to work on it. There's no way I'd find the time to track all of that down.

Hmmm.... Iceblade must have been refering to 'Escape From Castle Black' (by Bho), aka 'Jailbreak', as it is named in the corresponding Readme.
I only saw your answer, but his question had been deleted already.
As for the demos: I spent some time collecting them from various sources a while back (2 years ago ?).
Not sure if it is complete, though. I might have missed a few newer ones.
EDIT: Just updated the links to the demos hosted on WearyTaffer, DJRiff & Ottoj55.
Nothing is more in flux then links to demos !

The various things mentioned in the last few posts should all be in there now. (The Bathory AI mission is listed under the Bathory campaign). I also made several other tweaks to the code base in preparation for the next project: collecting links to reviews. That will probably start up tomorrow.

Please accept my belated congratulations on the latest thiefmissions.com milestone!
I just bought my third copies of all the Thief games from GOG last week. Time to get to downloading! (The last time I downloaded missions from thiefmissions.com, it was right around 2004.)

Thanks, Phantom; I've updated those. Unfortunately when threads get combined in the forum, there's no redirected added from the old thread to the new, and no error code when you try to fetch an old one.
Fuod on 17/10/2012 at 16:32
This would explain why so many differences popped up on my end.
Some time back I wrote a (
http://www.fuod.org/tm) utility that converts your (
http://www.thiefmissions.com/missions.desc) desc file to XML and I use that to compare all my FM's to your list.
Thank you for all your years of service Epithumia, it's been over 12 now hasn't it?

That file is still around, though it's become increasingly dumb to keep that stuff in a text file instead of a real database.
I guess it's getting close to twelve years now; some time back I tried to figure out when I started collecting missions for download and think I arrived at a date, but then promptly forgot it. It should all be in that thread should someone desire to look it up.
