Ironically, after posting that this morning, I heard back from him today. He's aware of the issue but hasn't had time to work on it, and it's complicated greatly by the fact that it works fine for him inside the host network, so he would have to debug on an external network connection. The problem arose when he updated the OSes on the VMs that thiefmissions resides on, and he had to upgrade them again today although it appears not to have changed anything (which he said he didn't expect). So be patient and thiefmissions will eventually come back, but we're very fortunate these days in that there are numerous other hosts which have the latest releases and the complete historical archive as well. It used to be that thiefmissions was about the only mostly-complete archive out there.

Yes, it IS back. I figured that was the problem before, too. Interesting stuff. Too bad he probably doesn't have the time to add the latest missions to the archive.

He will usually add missions if authors ask him to. The problem is most authors these days don't think to ask him to. He doesn't have time to monitor the forums and proactively add missions when they're released.
