that sounds about right. it also drew inspiration from silent hill. which ALSO was inspired by JL.
actually i think every damned japanese horror movie in the past 10 years has been influenced by jacob's ladder in some way.
personally? i love that stuff, but i'd like to see a thief FM in the style of, say, alone in the dark or resident evil. you know, nice, fancy mansion, full of loot, only something has gone horribly wrong.
you could call it the resident of evil creek or something like that. (let's see how many people get that joke.)
