I'm not the part of Thievery 2 team,
For me personally it doesn't matter how much time some stuff will take.
So then you're commenting on this why, exactly...?

No. I can't promise you that such uninventive way could make you famous."
:laff:
Yes, you wouldn't want to rob modelers of their chance to be "famous".
Your comment makes even less sense when I look at their page. The models are nearly identical to the ones in The Dark Mod, just not as well done (except for the model from Nightblade, which was done by Oddity, the same modeller who did many of our character models as well).

I mean no offense, but I have no idea whether you are defending Thievery or bashing it. Your posts are extremely confusing.
You know there's a slight difference between Thievery and Thievery 2.
What do you mean exactly?
Any project is not ideal. It could has both strong and weak sides.
BUT
Special case is the project that is under construction now (Thievery 2).
So here short conclusion for you about it:
1. Using the same characters again is not unique way (i.e. not good for future game popularity) - Thieves and Guards could be Thieves and Guards guys from more recent age.
2. Using the same game setting again is not unique way - locations could be from more recent age.
3. Using the same maps ideas again is not unique way - there're still some amount nearby of hard core multiplayer players from old Thievery who could simply rape newbies in Thievery 2. Cos veterans have knowledge of maps, and map bases strategies and tactics.
4. Total lack of public face that is able to speak with potential players of Thievery 2.
5. It seems that Thievery Team forgot that nowadays it's not simply to make famous even perfect and innovative project that was just released.
* In general Thievery game idea, game name, game community, game web site is forbidden by the players and admins. Old Thievery brand will not help remake.
* And I can't see where's web site of Thievery 2. Or community which is ready to join this game.
6. Total lack of gamedev portfolio of successful projects for each member of Thievery 2 Team.
7. Using the same stuff in the UDK engine (scripts, models, animations, textures). That stuff was inherited from previous attempts to create Thievery 2 on engines from Unreal family.
That's all that is known publicly.
Let's sum:
1., 2., 3. 6. could simply kill project when it will be done.
4., 5. isn't simply to ignore due its public nature and this nature is such that project could be closed at any time without any consequences:
* team of closed project wouldn't lost a thing in this case
* the time that was wasted for this unlucky attempt and closed project itself will be added to another such cases on the shelf of Thievery history
7. is the only thing that could help, but at this time it could be very problematic - free UDK couldn't be able to do some important for Thievery-like gameplay things
As you could see it's extremely to defend Thievery 2.
Hell, even "Thievery" brand name is less known today than music band "Thievery Corporation". Lesser chances that Thievery Team thinks seriously about making their future project famous. It's almost impossible to make "Thievery" like name popular with general web sites advertising or advertising with the social networks.

1. Yes, Thievery was perfect game.
2. Yes, Thievery community was very open and described Thievery gameplay very deeply on Thievery forums.
Thievery Legacy in general could be perfectly used in future Thievery-like game which will has right and prepared:
game name
game concept
game developers
game promoting.

My reasons were written in the reply to NewHorizon. Also both Thievery and Thievery 2 forums are not commenting a thing about this. Anybody see recent comments from Thievery 2 "Team" in this thread? Hello?

And? What this part of your post could show?
You don't saying something more then known fact that oDDity made this model for NB i.e. for TUT2?
