Is it possible to stealth it?
Melan on 29/6/2010 at 12:02
It isn't too hard to, just long. I think there is one major challenge, the room with metal floor and planks on stone piles, with a (stationary?) guard and a gallery with a patrolling archer. Just before Reuben's mansion IIRC.

Using water arrows, being seen by the servant twice, leaving a rope arrow hanging there. What part of this is stealth?

Water arrows are allowed and what do you have against the rope arrows?
I think ghosting was just completing the mission without letting anyone see you.
There was a guide about ghosting, what is allowed and what isn't but I don't know where it is.

Well, I don't know who ISO'd ghosting but it's bollocks if you can use water arrows, moss arrows, and leave rope arrows just hanging there in plain sight.
I pretty much have only one problem with this mission, and that's getting down the "chimney" and into the Overlord's Fancy proper. I suspect that the canals themselves will be pretty straightforward, and the Overlord's Fancy will be doable with hundreds of quickloads.
I'm pretty sure if you just jump down the chimney the servant won't notice you but that means a loss of health which is a no-no.
Going down with a rope arrow she certainly notices you(unless there is a way to trick around the rope into one of the four corners - more tests needed) and leaves the problem of the rope arrow blatantly hanging there. The AI doesn't care, but I do.
So the only way I can think of is somehow jumping down without losing health. But then there's the case of going back up...

Getting down the chimney isn't a problem with a rope arrow; you can nab a key off a guard downstairs and get back out to retrieve it, and you can get off the rope without taking damage. If you are using no water arrows, the problem is that the way through the casino is heavily lit, with unmoving sentries and civilians observing all possible routes. If you put out one torch at the further end of the central aisle (with a patrolling thug making his rounds), you can get to the roulette wheel without an alert. Otherwise, I don't have an idea how to do it.

Official Ghost Rules were developed over the years at the Eidos Forums and have been "locked down" for years now, although to each his own of course. Water arrows are allowed under the general ghosting rules, but not property damage (e.g. slashing banners). Koki, sounds like you're talking more about Supreme Ghost (one of several variants discussed in the Eidos thread), which means you leave no trace that you were ever there - no extinguished torches, doors closed and relocked, etc.

Oh, so there IS a key to this goddamn door. That's good to know. Still no idea how to get down unnoticed and/or without taking damage. Maybe if I used a rope arrow but jumped down so that Garrett catches it at the very bottom or something...
On a side note, is there any way to force the game to just skip this level? I assume Song of the Caverns and Mage Towers aren't so horrid.
