I'm seeing some interesting environmental design, but no gameplay. What is this game about? Is it a Thievery UT clone?

It's a Thief Deadly Shadows inspired Co-op...I'm assuming it's going for a Thievery UT vibe.
I wish these guys the best of luck, but coming here and saying 'it's your call' to take this beyond a prototype seems...uhm, not sure what to say about that. lol
Early in their development we offered to share our codebase and assets with them, so they could build off of what we had made for single player. There was potential to create a co-op mod that would have been compatible with all of our maps...our level editor...you name it. A cooperatively built coop. It could have worked, but I see from the videos that the artistic styles are on a completely different wavelength. There's too much bloom and blown out lighting for my tastes.
Clearly an impressive achievement, but not what I would call Thiefy.

Poor timing, considering the current projects. Come back with this after Thief 4 has been released. Keep working on it in the meantime, or look into helping a major project already underway here.:thumb:

Well since this is a copy pasted news directly from moddb the "it's your call" statement was rather addressed to the moddb ppl than to the TTLG forums but seeing so many nice thief themed threads here at the forums, we thought we should also let the ppl here know about Thievious' latest state...
The other thing I would like address is that for some reason I sense some sort of tension concerning the fact that we chose to go our own way codebase wise. We really value the TDM team along with the work they have achieved and actually we have a true coop gameplay with Thievious in mind where several thieves cooperate together achieving several mission goals against placed AI within each mission. So in fact last summer we already released the coop codebase that Thievious is based on over at the (
http://www.doom3world.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=23748) D3W Forums so that every D3 Project that would like to integrate COOP into their Mod can directly start merging the code.

Impressive human-like movement and great textures and graphics. But if it follows the UT and similar formats for gameplay I'll pass.
And if the gentleman with the cudgel is our thief, I'll also pass.
I do wish you good luck in getting your game finished. What I see is extremely well done.

No tension. Merely disappointment over a missed opportunity to combine forces in a way that would benefit both mods immensely. We have no interest in adding coop to TDM ourselves, as it is a huge task maintaining the single player component, but we were open to the idea of someone making their own branch that could potentially remain compatible and run our maps in coop.
Hmmm, twice in one day that my meaning has been misconstrued. lol I think I should take a break from forums for a few days.

I will admit that I am sad to see this project in trouble. :(
I enjoyed the friendly rivalry between these projects and hoped that Thievious would grow to incorporate features that The Dark Mod would want to out-do.
Also, disregarding the code-base sharing issues, both mods could share some art assets or (at least) map geometry. So if Theivious grabbed some mappers, modelers, etc, these would've benefited TDM.
Also... since the TDM fan-base seems to be made up of many who outright dislike TDS, it would've been great to have Thievious as a polite :ebil: place to refer folk who want a Doom 3 mod like TDS.
Now it seems that TDM is pretty much the lone soldier for "Thief style AI behavior in Id Tech 4".
:(
TDM wins?

What at you referring to? TDM? Or other more secret things? Because I don't see that this would relate to either one of those that much.
