I'm willing to wager that the city officials quietly arranged to have her scuttled, rather than let the cursed thing continue to sit there at the docks attracting attention. Anyone care to take a swim after day six and confirm this? :sly:
I think it would of been cool to see the City Watch accidentally set her aflame.

Actually, according to the broadsheet newspaper on the tabletop in the Old Quarter tavern, the Abyssal Gale simply cast off and sailed away.
Personally, I think the captain was off to rejoin his wife...

I have a partial guess for what happens with the Keepers:
I don't think that they will just up and leave or disband, I don't think that they currently have the cohesiveness to do anything as a whole.
After all not only have they just suffered heavy attack (Gamall) but their leader is dead and the great power of their order has just been erased.
I would guess that once it sinks in that the City can actually see them, they'll scatter like cockroaches when you flip on a light. They will take cover in whatever places in the City they had that didn't require Glyphs to keep hidden.
I don't however think that they'll just say "Oh, well I guess since that prophecy was fullfilled we can all just retire." They are too wrapped up in this whole balance/observe/record thing, it was the basis of their order which has lasted for centuries, and probably also the foundation, walls and roof of their individual lives. You can't just be something so completely and for so long and then just walk away from it. Like Inigo in 'The Princess Bride', after his revenge he was at a loss on what to do. Unlike Inigo however, the Keepers can still continue their purpose (they would just need to adapt).
Ultimately (IMO anyway) the Glyphs had gone from being a tool to being a crutch, now that they're gone the Keepers have fallen on their arse so to speak. Now it remains to be seen wether they'll just lay down and die or learn to walk on their own.
Any bets?

I haven't read alot of TDS threads so I may've missed it, but I haven't seen anyone yet pick up on the fact that the original Keepers 'designed' many (if not all) of the Glyphs. Perchance part and parcel of Garrett being the "One True Keeper" is the ability to create new glyphs that'll work? (Granted, I have no proof to back up that hunch, but it feels right)

Then, when the girl tries to pickpocket him, he realises what it means. When he says 'It's no easy thing... to see a Keeper,' he hesitates before 'to see a Keeper', and says 'to see a Keeper' as if he now understands. When he's done speaking, he smiles, not like he's happy, but as if he just understood something very ironic
I thought this smile was based on remembering how he was initiated.

I'm not certain at all that the Keepers created the glyphs- and even if they did, they certainly seemed to have lost the owners' manual. I remember seeing a lot of writings discussing 'discovering' glyphs, especially the one Gamall and Co. stumbled over so long ago, as well as the general feeling I got that the Keepers didn't truly understand the nature of the glyphs even as they used them... so I have to believe that perhaps they might be tools from the past, maybe even created by the Precursors.

What about that wench that wanted Garrett dead after he stole the bloodline opal?
I killed her and stole the money she was going to pay the thugs with :sly: .

I stole the money before they got there in the first place. She killed Thug #1, Thug #2 killed her, then I KOed him and dumped him in with the bodies. I'm sure he had a lot of fun explaining what happened to the Watch. :sly:

About Abysmal Gale:
I found this little conversation (I didn't hear this in the game, just found that in sound files):
-....
-'It's more than that. Something fishy happens and they (the City Watch) don't do nothing.
-'Whadya mean "fishy"?
-Like the time that old lady came in here...asking about Abysmal Gale ...how it got its name...where it is out at see. Then a few days later... the ship comes back...all hands lost.
-...
Now I'm sure that you all can guess who that old lady could be. ;)

At the end movei,
A building disappears...which one is it? I kinda missed something here.
I hope an expansion deals with many of the loose ends in TDS....like undead in the sewers, etc.
