Oh they weren't evil keepers, they had good intentions. A real badass keeper, one who formed a new, evil sect, might work, if they make it original and not a Karras clone.

Well, evil keepers as in Gamall

(just my impressions)
I dont think it will be possible to have a sequel (with garrett taking a major role).
For these reasons:
1) The Thief series is a trilogy that focuses on 1 of the main three groups that reside in each of the Thief Games. For example: The first Thief game was based on the pagans (their god the trickster) , The Second Game was based on the hammerites (the offshoot sect), and the Third based on the Keepers (the entropy of the keepers). All other groups that were mentioned in each of the thief games were secondary to the story.
2) Garrett has evolved from a thief to a teacher, He catches the girls hand at the end of the 3rd sequel, and reminisnces on how he was first introduced to the keepers (now no longer the student, but the teacher). He may still steal, but it wont be for some world shattering reason.
3) There has been no mention of any other powers/groups in the city that garrett has had contact with, (apart from the underworld/water creature bits, but they seem to tie in with the pagans and the trickster). So there does not seem to be any avenue for a 4th sequel without seeming like we 'have seen it all before'.
Just my ideas.
There is one ray of hope, garrett could become some kind of master teacher/thief goodguy and set up a thief school, and you play as the girl that he caught at the end of the 3rd game. As to what kind of enemy you could face, I haven't the foggiest idea. I truely hope that if we get a 4th sequel it will be new and not some offshoot from the groups we have already had contact with.
You mean third sequel - or fourth game.
I'd be interested in more Thief type games or even another game in the Thief universe. I think the Garrett storyline should be left as it is since they've wrapped it up fairly well.

I guess this is where all the Fanfics come into it all...

*I've posted this in another thread, but here's my two cents on a sequel.
If there was a Thief 4, I would like it to be something like this;
(First of all I know that this may annoy some of you, so please accept that this is only MHO.)
Garrett has taken the young girl from the last movie clip,(insert Girl's name here,) as his apprentice. They do few missions together; Garrett has never like thieving in company, as far as I can tell. The Girl is very self-dependant. The player has the choice of playing as Garrett or the Girl. Climbing Gloves have been outlawed, replaced with rope arrows, and Garrett has remembered how to swim.
After the fall of the Keepers, Garrett has begun to inadvertantly keep the balance of the City. Things seem to be going OK, until something dreadful happens. The Baron, having lost the war with Blackbrook, returns to The City, with an angry Blackbrook army hot on his heels. The City is besieged, and during the violence the Hammers and Pagans take advantage of the chaos and attempt to sieze power. There is both civil and international war in most areas of The City. During the Chaos, Garrett has but one choice; he needs to find some of the suriving keepers, and save the City again.
P.S
I am aware that there is no evidence that Thief 4 will ever be made. In fact, I just wanted an excuse to write something creative about Thief! Still, I think this plot is pretty cool, though I know some (or perhaps most) of you will disagree,

I loved your ideas, Brother R.! :thumb: I think if not a Thief 4, then at least a multi-mission FM (kind of like T2X - but without zombies, please. 'k, well maybe just a few here & there). It would probably take a long time to create, but would be totally worth it IMHO. I'm afraid I'm DromEd-challenged, otherwise I'd be one of the first to attempt an epic FM like that. There are quite a few great ideas for another epic in this thread.
Thief lives!

Wow, thats an incredibly great idea... I wanna play that!
