a minor point i know, but a lot of authors are non-English speaking, so although i understand your frustration and it annoys me as well, it is a understandable problem, as by the time a mission get released so much work has gone into it, the readables are often a rather over-looked aspect of the body of work, annoying yes....criminal sin....i can forgive....:D
If the scroll was written by Benny, the grammar and spelling can be forgiven. Objectives & such, however, should bear a closer scrutiny. Beta-testers typically don't get into correcting the language, and one should be assigned who has a firm grip on writing, if the author is weak in that area.

Depends who's testing. If you've got Tannar in your group, you won't go wrong.

Way way back, I offered to betatest Mark Smith's (AsyluM) 'Hidden Agenda' and before I knew it, I had pointed out some spelling & grammar issues and he offered me the job..
Well, my first set of corrections were almost outright rejected. I had fixed everything (all the readables) and he pointed out that even in real life people make mistakes; it's more realistic. So, we compromised.
As long as they fit the characters' personalities and appropriate station in their roles, I'm pretty flexible in FMs while playing them. As long as they're not excessive they're usually okay.

Love: looking up and seeing wood
Hate: irrealistic situations like guards not reacting to noisy grinding elevators but jumping at a lone step rooms away
