With the source code they can patch the game to run on modern equipment.
Right, I get that part, but even with the source code, a certain amount of work would still be involved in getting the thing configured/programmed/whatever I would think. Whereas ddfix is done and ready to go, and I'm guessing it can be distributed freely without restrictions, much the same way Gog uses Dosbox.

Not quite. Dosbox is GPL, while ddfix is not under any licence - which means you have to have some sort of an agreement, or risk being sued by the copyright holders.

Yeah, now would be a good time to license DDFIX under something. :erg:

That's Hitman, so yeah, Eidos is coming to GOG.

Anyone else shares my opinion that we should all...
1 - Get down to Montreal and threaten to give all Eidos Montreal employees a tar and feather treatment?
2 - In the alternative, register en masse on the eidos forums and RIGHTFULLY DEMAND information regarding Thi4f?
....
I guess I'm desperate. And frustrated.

Don't bother with either.

You'd probably just end up getting yourself banned over there. The only consolation I can offer is that you're not alone; the rest of us Taffers are just as frustrated and just a tad pissed off at the lack of T4 information. Re: #1: I can't afford a trip to Montreal at the moment. Sorry.
;)

Or dedicate to the public domain.

They should license it. Why should eidos be able to use it to make more money without compensating them ?
