Everyone is entitled to their opinion on this forum, because that's all it is - an opinion. I, in turn, am entitled to disagree with someone's opinion.
Having said that, I'm not sure how bashing moderators is relevant to this thread in any case.

This is 2012...not 2009. We should have had something positive by now as far as a release date is concerned or at least a hint of something.

The part you quote is an afterthought and, I presume, refers to the CM/Coyotegrey's recent posts. I responded by adding an exact quote of what he said, in case there was any confusion.
My comment about bashing moderators was in response to Dia's post, not OPs.

Oh good Lord. First of all, I am quite calm and I assure you'd know it if I wasn't, and secondly, you did it again. I am bashing you in your capacity as a moderator at another forum (mainly because even at TTLG you don't seem capable of separating the two, even though you're not a mod here), not bashing moderators in general. And I have to explain this to you why? Can you be any more deliberately obfuscating? Just the fact that I'm not the only person in these forums who's criticized you and your moderatorship (i.e. moderatorship at the other website forum - just want to be perfectly clear here) should be giving you a clue. But you insist on playing deliberately obtuse and twisting the posts of others to suit yourself, so what's the point. I don't have to justify myself to you and if you were to go back and actually read the posts of our fellow Taffers (in other threads as well as this one) regarding general opinion of you and your method of moderating perhaps you might actually get it. Do you actually have such a selective memory that you can't retain the past-posted criticisms by others of you & the moderating methods at the T4 forum that you've read or are you that seriously myopic? Btw; anyone who's posted their opinion of the EM Thief forums has done so in the light of having had the experience of being a member over there; but if you want to continue to pretend that all is sweetness and light there, then be my guest.

BUMP! Back to the OP: I still agree that T4 has become a sad joke, but am sincerely hoping the joke won't be on us in the end.

I wouldn't go that far. This is almost exactly what EM did with DX:HR. They announced it, went quiet for a couple years, then dumped a shit ton of info on us as the game came closer to release. So far, they've done about the same thing with Thief 4.
So I'm not worried. A little impatient, maybe. But hell, I'd rather them continue working on the game in silence, than overhype the hell out of us.

Agreed Renz. My impatience is causing me to be a tad pessimistic. Deep down I still harbor hope that T4 will exceed all expectations.
