I completely understand why Jenuall would say such a thing.
I know only a bit of the backstory but thiefessa sounds nice if you don't read between the lines. I find her to be a bit manipulative. I have no doubt she doesn't mean real harm to anyone but she might want to try to put herself in someone else's shoes.
And normally I love Dia to death, but I get a little tired of her calling thiefessa 'sweetie' or 'dear' all the time in what I imagine to be a diminishing voice. She got a point but she could say it in a normal way.
And frankly in this thread Goldmoon sounds like an annoying movie sidekick who jumps from behind the movie hero, says a useless comment as 'Yeah, you tell her how it is!' and then jumps back again into hiding. Which is a shame because I quite like Goldmoon while he's being regular nice to people.
So now that you all hate me, can we pleaaaaase just move on and make bad jokes about Thief 4 again.

In the end, theifessa is being overly argumentative and will never back down on her opinion, no matter what evidence is presented. She'll continue with her giant mutliquote replies until the end of time, so I'd suggest everyone just let it die rather than bash your heads against the wall.
As Potato Guy mentioned, no one here is without blame. I agree Dia has a bit of a condescending tone to her posts, and GMD, what can you say? When he said that he had "laid out the bait" and then had the nerve to call thiefessa a troll in the very same sentence, that tells you all you need to know about his discussion skills. Plus, you've got people defending thiefessa without even knowing the whole story and her role over at the Eidos forums.
In short, this thread is a fucking mess. Let's close it.

Have you actually read my post? I did look into the backstory but did not read everything there is to read, thus I phrase it with 'a bit'. If you did read my post you could have seen I'm essentially taking yours and Dia's side, mostly judging from what thiefessa has written in this thread itself. I found TTLG when I was looking to see if there was going to be a T3. I pre-bought it but I haven't played beyond the 3rd or 4th mission, I just couldn't get into it, I felt so clumsy all the time. A failure on my part.
Was there a TDS anticipation forum? Was there one at Eidos? Rapidly diminishing number of brain cells I think.
Edit. Having trawled through the archive, I see there was an anticipation thread. It's quite illuminating and I get the impression that there wasn't the deadly silence we have now.

Again, my "skills" at discussion are apparently limited, due to the extremely small amount of effort I put into these types of things, but to clarify, I was referring to Gingerbreads latest intervention.
So, now that this thread has been brought to the proper attention, I shall take my leave of this "mess".
