So, see, you have no spirit and no soul, and so, the trickster is not alive anymore! Praise the builder!

You made a good thread ganac, but dispnese with the flaming comments.
That sort of thing should be left to commchat.
Ya' know that pagans don't worship satan, so leave it. If you do, then please for the love of God, (so to speak,) stop listening to whoever is the rampant evangelical christian in your life.
*whoosh......there goes the sarcasm, way over there, above my head, LOOK!!!*

Hammerite student: Thou villanous tainted answer doth not sequench the thirst for the Builder's knowledge. Shurly my trust hammer shall vault forth to aid my woes of mystery in the sciences! *breaks the chalkboard with a hammer* I smite thee evil unit circle!
Teacher: What about you Jeffrey?
Keeper student: ...asking a question is a difficult thing, especially to one that does not want to be asked...

My word.
As a Pagan myself (No, I don't worship some Woodsie Lord(Though it would be cool, speaking with a weird accent and stuff)), this could be taken very seriously. I mean, only Christian nonsense still says that Pagans worship Satan, and we do not ride brooms either (Would be cool too).
At least Pagans are usually a lot more tolerant than most Christians. The Catholic Church burnt millions of innocent people, because they had another belief (or they didn't, they just wanted to blame someone). Paganism is not as close-minded as Christianity (You are a Christian, or you are evil and burn in "hell").
About Satan, the whole idea probably initiated in the 16th century, when people could break themselves loose of the clutches of the Pope. So he invented Satan. Satan is a Christian invention, only made to make everyone fear "Hell". Especially because only Christian monks could write and read Latin in that time, they made up things. It was very easy to let people fear something.
And seriously, I know what I am speaking of. I've been in a Catholic choir for 4 years, and as I learned more of the Christian Church, I just broke off. "F*ck you, I'm leaving this place". And now I am a Pagan. Balance is everything. Live and let live.

Don't you just love the common unity, .HATE, BASH Christians.
Always. Everytime.
It's the politically correct thing to do, anyway

The catholic church was corrupted thats why the seperatists broke off of the church, they were the ones being burnt, like William Tyndale. It wasn't the only time the church had been divided.
And the christians don't believe everyone who isn't a christian is evil, sin is considered a contamination, how are you sopposed to get into a pure place(heaven) if you are contaminated(sin). the reason why Jesus died on the cross, so we could get in.
Also the church(pope) didn't make up satan, they just exagerated hell to get people to turn back to them which was wrong(they were coruppted as I meantioned before). And I also know what im talking about. I am a christian myself and being a christian dosen't mean you cant have fun like playing thief:cheeky:
well now that ive completely gone off subject i'll just leave it at that:thumb:

That's not the point. Of course there are good Christians, people who don't want to harm others.
Oh yeah, and did you know the Bible was edited by the Romans, around 300 A.D. They wanted to maintain their Empire for so far they could, and I am not saying that a Christian can't play Thief, for example.
I can citate a sentence from the Bible:
Ephesians 4:17-19
"So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more."
Thessalians 4:5
"not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God"
They say we, Pagans, are evil. That we do not know how to live in a good way. Well, with all due respect, most Pagans believe that everyone can live his own life, as long as you do not harm others.
Even someone who studied Religion still says Pagans are evil people. Excuse me, but the time that I respected most Christians has long passed. Paganism is the oldest living religion in the world, before all the Abrahamic religions existed, Paganism was already there.
Like I said, there are Christians that commit good deeds, and still help people, but in my idea, Christianity is the most corrupted religion in the world.

I know your not saying a Christian can't play thief, I was just making a point.
I believe those verses you cited mean that people have turned their hearts from God, thats why its say they are no longer passionate, the bible is talking about the passion for God. And paganism isn't nessararly the oldest religion, read Genesis and see what the begining was like(fellowship between God and humans) and how do you think the earth came into existence?
And have you seen anything about the middle east, Islam is probably the most curopted(not meaning the peaceful muslims), who blew up the world trade center? Hve you heard of all the suicide bombings?:tsktsk:

Go look up the numbers before you make the claim.
The Crusades lasted from the 9th (First Crusade) through the 13th centuries (Alexandrian Crusade).
60,000-100,000 people, mostly Muslims, were killed in the First Crusade alone. I think you could easily make the argument that Christianity has been much more destructive, and is potentially much more dangerous (historically speaking), than Islam.
