This is great news, fett! Congratulations and much admiration from over here. I'm happy that your wife and kids can count on having you around for a lot longer.

Fantastic news Dave!!! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Whether you like it or not.

I'm very happy for you fett! Over the last 11 years I've spent many many hours in the hospital, so I certainly understand how you feel. You're very lucky/blessed to live pretty much a normal life. I certainly hope everything goes well for you, and that you can stay strong and realize that lots of people care about you. But I'm sure you already knew that... :D
(By the way, happy T2X anniversary. Seven years already!)

That's a lot more than basical fucking science there.
As much as it's a solid procedure these days and docs are ninjas, the prospect of that sort of thing, when I actually think about it, scares the unliving piss out of me. Yet everyone's so happy when they get scheduled etc. So then I have to think "Imagine how bad it must be to have to really want one".
...yeah.
Proceed on your continued and lengthy truckin' with redoubtable indefatigability.

I am so very glad to hear you are on the list, at long last!
Not to wish misfortune on others but I hope your wait is not too long.

Become well, Fett.

Brethren - that's good, because I'm actually having sex right now.
Muz- no, you're totally right. The science of it is almost boring at this point. They do transplants several times a week and even they are bored with it. It's the whole recovery, living with a foreign organ in your body that's the problem. It's also the scariest part.
