Again about Daggerfall or similar, you can't really argue in favour of those when all of the environments are procedurally generated.
A similar situation is with Borderlands and its equippables.

That did rather annoy me with Borderlands, the promise of millions of different guns sounded awesome, but in reality there were only seven. Doom had seven guns.

If I wasn't already really looking forward to this game, I'd be sold by the Bond Villain who's wearing a suit that matches his shoulder chameleon.
