No, I think it's because I've reached the point where if you can show it on TV without the FCC slapping a fine on you, then I don't find it funny. The music bores me too- I'm not a fan of parody music in general, so all that's left is the music itself and it's just so much retread.

Fair enough, and your 1st point is excellent, which is why I end up buying censored/edited shows on DVD to watch them in their raw form.

So as soon as something stops having an exclusive, niche underground following and becomes accepted by the mainstream, you're immediately not interested any more? I think the problem is that "tv comedy is too tame for me" is a stupid thing to say. What could you possibly be enjoying that can't be shown on TV? Off the top of my head I can think of hate speech, pedophilia, rape, hardcore porn and a host of other things decidedly unfunny (ok the porn might be funny).
It's kinda sad that you can't enjoy something like Home Movies or Tim & Eric because they aren't shocking enough.
