. You want to know what I think would be funny? A truck driving over your
legs.
God dammit Aja.
That is pretty funny.

What the hell is Manson doing in there? He's not metal. He's goth.
I know my definition of "goth" is rather outdated, but Manson goth? That's a new one for me :weird:

Hm. Well, saw action and strategy come together superbly in Sacrifice, there's no reason it couldn't work here, but more Guitar Hero mini-games? As a basic harvesting mechanic, too? There's just something about expanded QTEs that doesn't rub me the right way.

What the
fuck?!
Actually, no, you know what, that's too fucking insulting. I say TV comedy's not funny enough for me
God dammit Aja.
I believed the phrase you used was "too tame", not "not funny enough".

TV comedy is too tame for me. Simple, right? I don't know how you could fuck that up
I don't think he misconstrued it, because its what you said. The communication problem, if there is one, is on your end, not his.

I think the problem is that "tv comedy is too tame for me" is a stupid thing to say. What could you possibly be enjoying that can't be shown on TV? Off the top of my head I can think of hate speech, pedophilia, rape, hardcore porn and a host of other things decidedly unfunny (ok the porn might be funny).
It's kinda sad that you can't enjoy something like Home Movies or Tim & Eric because they aren't shocking enough.
And all of that content IS the subject of television comedy, as a few episodes of robot chicken, family guy, south park, and aqua teen will prove.
besides, Dethtoll wants something more disturbing than this?!

Putting aside that Dethtoll only finds the likes of August Underground's Mordum funny, has anyone played the demo yet? I'd love to hear impressions, I can't download it yet because I'm on a XBL Silver account now (which I won't be renewing any time soon. What a waste of money a 12-month Gold subscription was in regards to my gaming habits.) and I can't be arsed bothering with PSN's slow transfer speeds thanks to my PS3 relying upon wifi.

Yes I have played it, and my first impression is pretty much pure awesome. The actual gameplay hasn't demonstrated anything amazing yet (then again, neither did Psychonaut's first level), but the game has more style than anything i've played in years. As usual Jack Black comes across as a somewhat stronger voice actor than live-action actor. The soundtrack is, of course, awesome.
Of course, the editorials are going to all give Modern Warfare two the GOTY hype. If the demo is any indication, the honors rightfully go to this game. However, Its great to see Tim Schafer finally getting a bit of the hype and attention his games deserve.

Not his fault that the publishers screwed him over in regards to Psychonauts. (Referring to Microsoft Game Studios dropping it and then Majesco's virtually non-existent advertising. But to be fair, the game may've been an even bigger bomb as a Xbox exclusive).

I'm still boycotting this game. Unless TimmyS goes back and apologizes for being a douchebag and unless this game comes out on PC (I can see the latter happening, the former not so much) I refuse to buy his game on the grounds that he was an asshole to people whose only crime was being interested in his damn game.
That and the playlist isn't as good as it could be.
