Yeah, he was kindof an asshat.
To be fair though, he is correct about the playstyle. I really can't see it working well on anything other than a dual-analog controller. Based off the demo, it would work even worse on the PC than devil may cry 4 did.

That's not why I'm pissed at him. Some games just aren't meant for keyboards. Hell, I had to buy a gamepad just to play Megaman X 'cuz I couldn't keyboard ninja the game like I used to.
Why am I pissed at him? He basically said that if you only have a PC you're a stupid fanboy and a bad person. Fuck TimmyS.

And however can one find and connect a dual-analog controller for the PC? It just can't be done!!!!

In all fairness, one should always develop for a platform at its most basic level. You could hook a controller, but that would make buying one a requirement, which would be irritating for the customer/gamer. It's like deciding to leave the sound uncompressed in a game and requiring a user to own a BD Rom, because the game wouldn't fit in a DVD.

*** played demo on xbox360 at a friend :thumb::thumb::thumb: ***
i don't know, MiniNinjas uses the same radial menues and choices throughout and I found it very, very playable with kb+mouse. I have a xbox controller for PC because I thought it would/should be the controller of choice for GTA, RE4 etc but was convinced again that controllers are bad, bad, bad and kb+mouse beats them every time. I'm not bad with a controller but the controller itself is bad with its stupid deadzones so I won't get the level of responsiveness I am used to by kb and unfortunately, there's just no going back for me (the industry likes to take steps back to sell something which should be standard as innovation 1-2 years later", maybe there will be a innovative addon called kb+m for the xbox sometime later.....
at least it is just no argument for not publishing on the PC, see CAPCOM, I like the company (nowadays), they always made console-games, had certain recognizable brands and never lied about being just that. I own LostPlanet, SF4 from them and they are the prime example how to do PC ports of former console games. they do just enough for it, the minimum, but they do it good and their games are cheap ! no activision MW2 rip-offs.
I don't know about RE5 but it seems to be another stellar port (contrary to RE4, I just flat out gave up on playing it on PC)
I think he was just bored and didn't care about such questions so he quickly cut off the reporter/fan boy whining to continue praising the game (that I like very much). EA "could" always go in and port it later (which I hope they will do)

@Mothra
Lost Planet, DMC4 and RE5 are native PC games (in the technological sense, certainly not in gameplay), they aren't ports.

I dunno about SF4 though.

all of the games came out on console first afaik so for me that's a port.
any port of an console game that plays on the PC is a native PC game, I don't know of any console-emulators existing for Windows......
I don't understand what you mean ? what is a non-native pc port ?

Games made by using gamepads.

so ports of console games that do NOT support the keyboard/mouse setup on the PC are non-native PC games ? never heard of that. since a controller is a normal Input device like many other existing for PC.....I would have never made that distinction, well, good to know
