but I generally find heavy metal to be really obnoxious, so I really wish it had another theme.
THAT.

Well, Double Fine were asked whether they could change the theme to one based on Country Music when they originally pitched the game.

Picked this up yesterday on the 360 and spent a good solid 2 hours last night playing through it.
Mixed feelings thus far, namely:
The open-world structure hits you full in the face after the initial 10minutes of effectively scripted action and then suddenly you're left in a huge field and given complete free reign. This is a bit disconcerting and I then proceeded to spent some time just running around (and driving in the frankly awesome Deuce) raising relics etc.
Ozzy is a stroke of genius in his role.
The game is beautiful - the detail levels are ridiculous in it and I know its been said before; but its like the whole thing has been crafted from a painting onto my xbox and I get to run around in it. Also its gloriously gory and with Jack Black being his usual awesome self i was chuckling with his quips although not lollerz as everyone seems to gush in the reviews I read.
I've got my headbanger army together and it does seamlessly mix RPG with Action to the extent where i feel there are literally miles of stuff to get through.
Oh, and the soundtrack is phenominally well put together and appropriate. In one bit when I was just randomly walking about i suddenly realised there was light classical guitar strumming along in the background accompanying me. Then when you leap into the Deuce it suddenly blares into some heavy metal.
Really good - looking forward to playing more!
I also picked up Fallout 3 GOTY yesterday as Game were selling it for £25. God knows when I'll get a chance to play that beast!

oh god. If that were the case - and it played it seriously rather than parody - I may very well not play the game. Ugh. Heavy metal so much better.
