Oh stop, this is getting ridiculous. Criticism will be hard to swallow. No one is saying that these missions are total garbage no, thats not the case. Points were being made, thats it.
Its how you, and people handle them, with decorum, and maturity that shows just how much you can take, and are willing to, and can answer and reply with respect to others. If you let everything bother you, making FM's is not for you then, make them for yourself.
If you want to earn respect and to have people like you, acting immature is not the way to get it. To get so defensive more often than not, is not good. People have to own up, and face the facts, people will complain, and love missions at the same time. Would you rather that people tell you what you want to hear? And lie? They are giving their opinions because they want you to be even better, no one is perfect, and they are honest. Can't fault them for that.
Lastly Cardia, people love that you make FM's for your friends, it shows you care. :)

LOL, what a turn of events in this thread. LOL.:laff:
I'll settle for dinner, and drinks. Not on the first date. :p LOL. We're just one great big family, agree to disagree, and you know the way families can get. :D :weird: LOL.

Can I at least get a reach around for helping set you two up? :ebil:
Sorry, cardia1, if you felt that you were being attacked by my post--not what I had in mind. I was, in my own way, trying to help (too many years of moderating writing clubs). For me, it seems pointless if everyone only posted "how much they loved a mission," while no one offers up what they didn't like about a mission.
As I said in my initial post, no disrespect intended.

Sorry Queue, Cardia, I'm ahh, seeing someone. :p ;)
You sometimes have to be honest, I'd rather be that, personally, than not.

I can't start "Time for culture".
I get the menus, but when I choose "New Game" the screen gets to black as usual. But in the moment when the game should start I hear a sound that is normally assigned to "getting a key" and instead of starting the mission crashes to the desktop.
I don't know if I have the updated version. The file is 38.803 KB large and it is dated with 13.01.2008 02:14 in my Windows Explorer.
I use the German version of Thief 2 called "Das Metallzeitalter".
Now I have started the mission with Dromed from Darkloader 4.2. Dromed gives me the following error message:
Assertion Failed:
Too Many Brushes in Level (File: ged_map.c, Line: 59)
(Yes to trap, No to exit, Cancel to ignore)
I choose "Cancel" and try to start it in the Game Mode. Then the mission starts, but I don't have any weapons. When I click "Esc" to get the menu the game crashes to the desktop.
What's the matter here?
(I don't believe that it's a problem with convict.osm as most fan missions work correctly.)
Does this mission need special scripts not included?
