I really would like to say something good about this mission, but it still crashes for me :(
I have EP demo installed and can't find how to uninstall it, if it is possible. :erg:

Just renaming EP.crf to something else like EP-off.crf should do the trick.

Yes, it would be good if I would have latest EP version, but I have Beta 1 as readme says, so I think I need to remove these files manually.
Maybe someone tried to do it, did it help? :)

The last room I was in was the kitchen/pantry.
The key is in the kitchen.
The key is between the wall & the stove.
I disagree entirely, he was merely voicing an opinion that I think must be fairly universal. Well done to him/her for having the courage to do so. Yes, criticism on these fora should in general attempt to be constructive but if people find an FM unplayable then it is important that the author is aware of this even if, as in the past, the author chooses to ignore the criticism.
Excuse my double post, but I didn't want either post to be overlooked as they are addressing two separate issues.
I will firmly disagree with you. Some of you may not like keyhunts, but that certainly doesn't mean that no one does. Yes, the beginning was a bit slow with a lot of up & down key hunting, but that didn't turn me off to the mission. Personally, I enjoyed exploring the museum with all the beautiful art. Of course, I've been known to spend a whole day wandering around in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, viewing art I have seen many times. I found this mission relaxing and the music very fitting. I don't always want an edge of your seat, fast paced thriller like The Seven Sisters (which btw I do agree is a masterpiece).
As far as constructive criticism goes, yes, this is the place for it. However, without tact, constructive criticism can be offensive or demeaning. And a backhanded compliment like Brethren's remark about Pedro's skills is no compliment at all.
It really bothers me that Pedro takes so much flack for breaking the traditional Thief mold for missions. If you don't like them, don't play them. Tell him you don't like the mission without insulting him personally. But, remember that some of us enjoy his missions and appreciate his creativity.

I don't think it was back-handed; I think he was just expressing disappointment.
My comments are never personal (how could they be?) merely objective but I will comment no more. I've said enough. :)

I know when I tested the first release there was bugs which I reported but nothing that crashed the game or made it unfinishable. I never got to test the final version. From what I have read here there wasn't any final testing.
Whenever I test a mission I play it for what it is and report bugs rarely ever
making suggestions that the author change something unless that is welcomed by the author. Like in this mission I felt the hotel part of the mission should have had at least some AI like guards or sleeping guests but I never said to cardia he should.
As far as what kind of mission it is. Yea, it's a keyhunt, but so what. A FM author is able to create any kind of mission they want. That's the beauty
of the whole thing. While cardias missions are not your typical loot the place
and KO everyone/ghost missions I think it is cool to play something different once in a while. No one should ever say the mission sucks (or whatever way they put it) just because it doesn't suit their style of thiefplay. I myself have been guilty of that a time or two but now I keep any discouraging comments to myself.
I think one person created a mission once where Garrett had to actually put
stuff back instead of taking things which cancels out the whole meaning of Thief.

Been running around the museum for HOURS now. :grr: The paintings are nice, but not THAT nice! HOW DO I GET OUT OF HERE? Am I still key hunting? Are all my objectives to be completed here? Or is there another part to this mission? HEEEELLLLLLP! (I'm an excitable girl) The waxies are starting to creep me out. (panting and clawing the walls, chest heaving, eyes twitching)
got everything except the eye

If you have the courtyard key (I think that's the one)
go out one of the glass doors.
You'll find a ramped stairway which leads you back to where you began.
