I'm willing to concede that I just might suck at this game, but I can't stop playing! :)

OK, here goes:
Paul:

The crucial thing not to do is to leave by the window. Leave the 'ton by the front door, or die in the 'ton, or whatever, but don't go near the window after the MIBs break in.

Gunther:

The only way to get Gunther's killphrase is to tell Jaime to stay with Unatco when you break out of the MJ12 facility. He'll give you the killphrase in a cafe in Paris.

Thanks lot! I'm heading into the Paul thing now. Wish me luck. :)

I went and killed all of the invading troops... I then stood there and watched Paul stand there.. He didn't move!
I then found out he died.... later though... I killed everyone!!

I wondered why it was so easy to off Gunther! I made the right choices at the right time.

Actually, I'd say that telling Jaime
Spoiler:
to stay at UNATCO is the wrong choice, even though you get Gunther's killphrase. Telling Jaime to follow you to Hong Kong gets him to show up at Tong's compound with an aug upgrade for you. Since Gunther isn't really that tough of an opponent, I at least would take the upgrade over the killphrase.

I disagree.

Spoiler:
The aug you get if Jaime stays is one that you have the opportunity to get a couple of times before.

Whereas Gunther's killphrase is very useful indeed.

no, no, x.
Spoiler:
one of my playthroughs i explored every single area to, as i believe, it's fullest extent. i picked up all the items i found useful, one of those things being aug upgrades. i also told jaime to follow me, and, geuss what i got? an aug upgrade. i don't think they would make it "well, you've done very well this game, so if you pick this option you don't get anything."

and, plus, it's just cooler to kill with a word.

X,
Spoiler:
I'm guessing that by "the aug you get if Jaime stays", you actually mean the aug you get when Jaime follows you, as I don't believe I ever got an aug from Jaime when I tried asking him to stay at UNATCO. If you have Jaime follow you, you get an aug upgrade, the kind that upgrades your presently existing augs, not the kind that installs a new aug. It's not something that you wouldn't need because you had gotten it earlier.

Apologies.
Yes, the aug is gotten when Jaime follows you. However this can be found earlier in the game..It's far cooler to kill with a word, I agree.
