Trying to re-play this FM; lost my original copy & d/l it from Southquarter. Now when I try to save a game it tells me "Not Enough Disk Space" just above the save slots & refuses to save. Tried a d/l from CrippledBurrick - same thing. Have:
- never encountered this in 550+ T1 / T2 FM's,
- about 80 Gb on HDD,
- since loaded up 2 other FM's - no such problem.
Anyone else tried d/l & playing this recently, as I'm wondering if the copies around the place have become 'corrupted' somehow? Or is there a work-around for this?
Thanx :)

Try to clean save-files from folders
allsaves and
SAVES.

Thanx, clearing, I moved everything from "allsaves" & now the game saves properly :thumb:
Still don't understand why this problem arose for this one FM - & only this 2nd time around. Did the author(s) make any changes to the original?

Just take a look into the FAQ:

Thief is saying it cannot play, because I do not have enough space, even if I have a lot of free disk space: how do I fix this?Open the file user.cfg found in the Thief directory and add the line skip_starting_checks to it and save it. Please note, it may be necessary to create this file.
Thief doesn't see all of your available disk space on those "big" modern harddrives, so you have to prevent Thief from checking diskspace capacities.

Thanks Mabrien, I was wondering if it was possible to get in there
I doused the torch and threw some crates on top then jumped from the gate, opened the window and leaned until I could see the button and shoot itI never saw
the button to shoot; just stacked 6 boxes and went inside the window, did my stuff (last of the loot in there, too!), and came back out the window.

Need some help.
Can someone tell me where the key to hotelroom #2 (Sergant's) is? The key to the financial district seems to be in there, but no key anywhere (nor one for any of the other rooms).

I think (but I'm not sure) that the key you are looking for is under the reception desk.
The Phantom on 25/8/2009 at 18:09
Thanks, but no luck. I've already checked the safe under the desk.
It's empty now, and none of the four keys I currently have on the keyring can open door 2 :(.
Does the location of the key varies on another difficulty? I'm playing on Expert.
Or perhaps it's a bug.

I think you need the Maid's key which is worn by the front desk clerk to open the rooms. He is the guy dressed in the greenish tunic that's in the room on the top floor which has been converted into a make-shift front desk while the Casino is under renovation.
