To all the British people on the forums: I need your help for my master's thesis! - by Aekoric

Hello!
I'm a student in Intercultural Psychology in Germany, Osnabrueck and currently writing my master thesis. Since I have wanted to examine cultural diversity concerning the perception of events, I had to determine upon certain cultures and eventually chose British, US Americans and Australians as study participants. The only issue is, that most of my previous participants seemed to have been Americans and now I have a huge surplus of US citizens (60) standing against only 10 British subjects. That's why I'm still in need of British people willing to fill this survey out for my master's thesis. A number of around 30 British subjects would already even out the surplus enough that I could start further work on my thesis. So just around 20 more people are needed. If you are a Brit, please take 20 minutes of your time and help me out! :)
The online survey is of an academic nature (So no advertising or market research or anything along those lines) and takes approximately 20-25 minutes to complete which is rather long for any survey but I can assure you that it's not as much of a hassle as it might seem. That's why I'd be really grateful if you could help me out, as it is pretty important for my studies. Age is not a crucial factor, so basically anyone can fill the survey out!

You will also get the chance to win a
20£ voucher from Amazon when you have completed the survey as an additional incentive on top of making me a very happy student!
Should you know anyone else who is British I would be super grateful if you could pass the survey on to them.
Thank you very much, if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them. You can also send me a private message if you like.
Kind regards,
Aekoric

I'd suggest removing that email address from your post. If you want to receive emails then change your profile email address and ask people to get it from your profile. You may find you get a whole heap of undesirable emails otherwise.
I've done this survey and it's interesting, more so than I lot I've done. It involves a bit of reading and commenting on what you've read, and answering a few questions. I particularly recommend it to faetal.

Oh yeah forgot about the usual don't post your e-mail anywhere thing. Thanks for reminding me :)

I'll do it :)

Can ex-pat Brits participate? I can still remember hedgerows, narrow streets, winkles and camp coffee.

I guess that you are from Canada, aren't you? Due to the design of the survey you would at some point get "stuck" because there's a question about ones citizenship and I only have Australians, US Americans and British as an option. How long have you lived in the UK anyway? You might pass as a British should you have been there long enough ;)

He could always just mark himself as American -- God knows he may as well be one.

Well I've got enough Americans already but if someone from the US wants to do the survey by all means do it :)

Being a Brit, I have just taken your survey.
As I was answering questions in the survey, I couldn't help wondering what your initial hypothesis was regarding the different views British and American people would take on those events. Also, why Australian, a neutral perspective?
Although saying so here might bias the results for anyone planning on filling out the survey!
