The Thief series of games is not something I recently "discovered". I picked up TDP shortly after it originally came out. I was always a die hard RPG fan (Baldurs Gate, Might & Magic, etc). It is hard to put into words what TDP did for my gaming experience. It opened up new worlds so to speak. Ever since the first TDP playthrough, the Thief series has been one of my favorite immersions. I replay them every so many years. To this day, I can still remember the feeling I had the first time I played The Haunted Cathedral mission late one night. I had no idea what I was getting myself into =). Fond memories, indeed.

I discovered this website a couple of years ago when I had trouble getting TDP to run on my new computer. Most of the mature mod packs, etc that are here today were in early stages. I used a few fixes, etc. I finished my playthroughs & got busy for a couple of years. I come back now to visit, and OMG! So much work has been done by you amazing people. There are so many new mods, fixes, even a new game engine, etc to play with. So many of them are either complete or nearly complete. I have played around with them the last 2 weeks getting T1 gold & T2 up and running again with amazing new textures, resolutions, & new life!

You all have done such amazing & hard work. I just want to express my appreciation & say thank you to everyone of you who has had a major, minor, whatever role in developing these mods. Also thank you to those who maintain this website. I am not a modder myself, but I have been around the modding communities of various games for a decade or so observing the discussions & playing with various game mods. So, I can understand there is a lot of work involved & commitment to seeing mods to completion.

Thank you all for not only preserving these great games, but breathing new life into them.
