Am I the only one who found the Predator levels really tense? Near death, hiding in a corner waiting for enough energy to recharge so that I could use the medicomp, with the sound of aliens scuttling towards me?

I hear you.

Personally I felt that running around at 20mph blasting aliens with rock-steady aim like Robocop with a Segway for legs was far more cartoony than anything AvP2 could muster.

Enough controversy for me to give it a go :P.
I'll add that my tolerance for old games is good - I still play Thief, and I've recently played Red Faction and kind of enjoyed it. Though I did start to get pissed when the railgun-wielding Mercs showed up, instakilling me through walls... so maybe a game so hard is not for me :P.
And waiting for AvP3 is tempting...

What exactly are you talking about here? The Predator sections in AVP1? If so, that's not how I remember it at all.

Sounds an awful lot like the human sections, actually.

Jesus Christ that is dumb. You don't need SWAT 4 meets Aliens. But a little realism never hurt anybody.

Nobody's screaming it's RUINED FOREVER. I'm just saying, if I'm going to be running around at 20mph I'm going to play Aliens Doom.
That said, I'm probably going to buy this. It's only $5 and my disc version doesn't like my PC.
