Yeah, the quality of the writing on that one is pretty horrific.

You were stale half a decade ago.

Being right never goes out of style.

Shit....I feel bad for doing this, but.....that was a good counter Zing from ZB....
(Not that I think he's right, just the zing itself was good).
Ow.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
It's also wrong for 23 hours and 58 minutes out of the day, but hey.

You might want to try actually reading SCP-610. In addition to the sloppy writing, it becomes increasingly obvious the more one reads that the author has no clear idea where he's going with the concept.

Wasn't impressed.
I've read some great fanfiction, like that one by shamus I think. This would be a nicer idea if it wasn't so bloody obvious, it could have had a more viral advertising kind of vibe. Pile of wank as it is right now.

SCP-610 really didn't seem that horrifying to me. The psychically invisible mold from SCP-020 was far worse.
Bluegrime on 1/2/2011 at 00:31
Now that sobriety reclaims me, 610 isn't terribly frightening. I think the opening picture is what made the whole thing seem like a bad trip to me, coupled with my fear of being turned into some kind of food glop and eaten alive.

SCP-610
"containment is impossible" followed by "Should any organism displaying traits consistent with SCP-610 be sighted near this perimeter then the established protocol requires it be engaged at range with firearms until immobile then dispatched using fire from as far a distance as possible."
If you can impede disease vectors and sterilise infected individuals with fire then, by definition, SCP-610 can be "contained".
This is where I part company with 9/10 of SciFi and crime capers - procedurals. That and, as previously observed, crap writing.
