I have to say, I'm really liking the look of Lara Croft in this one. Doesn't bother me that her boobs are smaller, in fact, I like them smaller. (Not everyone likes big boobs!)
Anyway, hope this one comes out well.
A trailer for the new tomb raider is out, and boy is it awesome. (IMO of course.)
However, I'm not sure what I think of the voice-over. I know you have to get new talent, but this person doesn't seem quite right.
I don't know, what do you guys think?

You mean reboot, right? The remake came out like 4 years ago. :)
I like the trailer though. I think Crystal Dynamics taking the series over was the best thing that could have happened to it, really.

You know what you're right. (You're referring to Anniversary, right?) I'll fix the title.

More like Tomb Raider Reboob.
I like the trailer. And I'm hoping this game will have more of a survival-angle to it. She's all alone on a strange island and has to fend for herself. Building a shelter, hunting for food. No doubt the story will be about how she stumbles on some ancient Mayan voodoo in a cave or something but I hope they at least get
some survival-elements in there.

I never realised that Crystal Dynamics were the Soul Reaver guys. Armed with that knowledge and my current playthroughs of everything Tomb Raider from Legend to Underworld, a fresh reworking of Tomb Raider by these guys can only end up as something no less than endearingly brilliant.

Yup, I've been occasionally bumping into the dedicated forums over at Eidos for a bit now and I really like what I'm hearing about it. I've never been much of a Tomb Raider fan but this one seems pretty exciting. In fact, the only thing I've heard so far that I don't like is the rumour going around those parts that it might end up console-exclusive.
Volitions Advocate on 3/6/2011 at 23:17
It better not be a console exclusive.
I own every tomb raider game that has been release, and all on PC. There are few TR fans as dedicated as I am, and if they throw that out the window I wont be buying it.
aside from that rumor. I'm pretty stoked. Playing through allt he old tomb raiders just for nostalgia. Currently on 3. Which in reality was a bit of a grind, but fun nonetheless.
I'm looking forward to playing Angel of Darkness on a modern machine. That game was sorely under appreciated.

I think that rumor got started because of tiresomely paranoid PC fucks whispering among themselves about the impending PC apocalypse where computers are all made by Sony and Microsoft and Nintendo and you have to use a controller to type.

The trailer says it's coming out for PC. I think I'd go with that rather than whatever speculation is out there.

Wasn't there a thread about it somewhere? Hm.
Hmmm.
