(

Lara Croft and the Land of OW OW OW OW OOF UNK. AKA The Busted Knees and Black Bruises on Shinbones Simulator.
Hm. Looks like Tomb Raider slept with Heavy Rain. I like that. I wouldn't want to see Heavy Rain try to knock up any game, but some could really do with that treatment and I think Tomb Raider might just qualify.

Then you show up.
Then Koki shows up? What's this, the TTLG edition of Survivor? I wonder what parental rating that's gonna get.

Vaguely underage? Even for an american that's seriously stretching it.
US quip aside, I don't see it either. The FAQ over at Eidos says she's just out of university, she looks the part well enough.

I know this because I saw an episode of Duck Tales that had a similar plot.

On a related topic: has anyone here played Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light? It's popcorn fare, but well crafted, great fun popcorn fare, not "fake butter smells of stale urine" old popcorn. From what is revealed about the reboot, though, the new game and Guardian of Light would pretty much seem to be at opposite spectrums of the genre, though.

Yep, henke and I had a co-op runthrough of the game. It's pretty much brilliant, especially when it comes to the puzzling. Some cool headscratchers in there, and what really makes it is that the two of you really do need to work together to move forward.
This TR doesn't look even remotely the same. I doubt there's going to be as involved a co-op side to it.

Not really fair to compare Guardian and this new game. Guardian is arcadey, this new game is more like the old TRs.
Anyone else notice how often Lara muttered things during that gameplay video? Was actually kind of annoying, but at the same time it shows a slightly disturbed lara. (Which is understandable considering what is going on.)

The distinction is actually semi-official - Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light intentionally doesn't contain "Tomb Raider" in its title, it was a deliberate move by Square/Eidos so as to differentiate it from Lara's original IP.

This new one doesn't even look like a game at all, let alone a platforming puzzler where you occasionally John Woo bears to death.
This one looks more like Heavy Rain:spike through my midriff edition.
