...you're in for a much better game. :thumb:
It's different, but not better. The 3rd person animations in 1st person are still quite awful. One of the biggest complaints about T3 was how badly the player view was jerked around by the animations and this makes it even more jerky. You call it more 'alive'...well, that's only true if Garrett has developed Parkinson's disease.

Right, I installed a fresh copy of T3 and this is what I found...
* 1st person mode worse not better(which I didnt think was possible - Garrets movements arent as smooth as std
* Bow aiming is quite hard to use now, much worse than std.
* Gamma is much much darker than std...
* Uninstalling via NH's installer breaks the game, as it then just crashes upon loading....
To be brutally honest I wont be using this mod, which is a shame because I know Tony put a lot of work into this and I was looking forward to it.

To be fair, that isn't a problem with the mod, that's the installer I had you test not restoring the files properly. I don't know why it does that one systems outside my own, I'm guessing there must be something not getting save to the installer that exists on my system somewhere. I'm going to try using it on my wife's laptop to see what happens.

I'm a reasonable person, So I'm going to be reasonable. I'm going to try to make things better. Mostly for the animations. I'll be back with you tomorrow, I'll send another new MOD to clearing, and than I hope things are better.
Regards,
Tony.

OK everyone, I did it. I hope you like it more now.
Here's what I changed:
>Idles and movement as running, crouching and walking are like normal original. So there will be no extreme headbobbing.
>Bow animations are still slow, but still faster than the previous version of my MOD. Also, moving while aiming the bow will have no headbobbing at all.
>Leaning is very fast (twice as fast).
>Dagger animations are still like 3rd person, but with more diversity.
>Jumping is slightly changed.
All other animations are still 3rd person anims in 1st person perspective.
So, Is this better? (I hope it is).
Please - anyone- answer soon. The sooner the answer, the sooner Clearing will have the newest version.
- Tony.
PS: New Horizon's uninstaller doesn't actually work proplerly (at least not on my PC). So seriously recommend you download the mod on Clearing's darkfate.ru untill new Hoirzon has made his uninstaller working.

I think the animations all need to be reverted back to 1st person. The way the camera gets tossed around while using the dagger and blackjack is currently very bad.
Tony Ayalew on 5/9/2009 at 15:24
Tommorrow, that will be the old version. I'll send you (yes you, Clearing) the upgraded MOD.

I've put a lot of work to get those animations working. I feel dissappointed, knowing you don't like them (or don't appreciate them).
So here's what I'll do: I will keep th 3rd person animations in 1st person perspective. HOWEVER, I will tweak all starting bones. This way, the "alive" feeling and smoothness of the animations is remained, but there will be no extreme "camera jerking" (as you call it). I will also keep all movement animations as they were originally.
This is how far I will dampen my animations, and no more.
