About the night vision: Only Bikerdude seems to have an malfunction in the nigth vision. No one else seems to have technical issue with the night vision.

I just hoped others would like it too. Guess I was wrong.

What you need to consider about this board is that the people here want Thief to be "Thief" and not something else. Thief Deadly Shadows is already a few steps removed from the classic Thief games, your mod takes it further away from that. I don't think it's what the majority of Thief players want. Some people didn't even want to play the game until they installed the minimalist project....think I scored Eidos a couple of extra sales there. Not a lot, but at least a few...from what those people told me.

I think NH got it right a few posts back - if you made the mod for yourself and you like it, then you shouldn't change it unless you want to change it. If you're releasing it to the community for everyone to enjoy, then be prepared to change it to make more and more people happy.
Since you said you made it for yourself but other people got hold of it afterwards, then I'd say keep it how you want it - since it's your mod, you can make it how you like. No-one forces people to use it, after all.
A good example is Oolite (apologies for mentioning this a lot in my recent posts!) - it's a remake of the original Elite game for the BBC. People have been making add-ons as mods for it, some of which "fit" the world, others don't (such as Star Wars ships). I've not downloaded those, but I still appreciate the work gone into making them, even if I don't like the end product.
And NH, thanks for making the Minimalist Project - I use it on Thief III and it definitely improves on the original.

You're totally right. Thanks.
