The first three of these issues should be easy enough for NH to fix. InstallShield and other such installer-creator software uses a License Agreement in its default setting, which is why the Readme was put there - this again should be easy to fix (even if the "License Agreement" text says "there is no license agreement!" or something similar).

Hello new horizon. I appreciate what yu did. I really do. But...well, there are issues:
>The day before yesterday, I updated some system files of my MOD, so my MOD works even better. But, since you made the installer with the older files, your installer doesn't have the updated files.
>You didn't change the "how to install"- discription in my Readme file, so people might get confused by that. Speaking of which, I also updated my Readme file at the day before yesterday, so the readme file in your installer is wrong anyways.
>On the readme- page, it says below if one agrees with the "license agreement". My readme is not a license agreement, and calling it a LICENSE agreement is - as far as I know - illegal. You should have called it an USER agreement.
>The Uninstaller doens't work. I thought that was the whole point of your installer: The ability to savely uninstall it. Well... that important part doesn't work properly: Installing my MOD, and than uninstalling it causes my Thief game to stop working.
So, New Horizon, I really do appreciate you did this for me, but I cannot use it.

Strange, the uninstaller works for me. I'll look into it.

Tony, can you email me the newest package so I can update the installer? I've tested and retested the uninstaller and it's working perfectly for me. Can you ask someone else to test it on a fresh installation?

Of course I can. By the way, can you do something for me too?
I have a problem:
-I've sent thief the circle and South quarter an e-mail with the request to put my MOD in their site, but neither of them have answered, and it's been 3 days ago now.
-And my PC is too slow to put my MOD into an web hosting site; it shuts down if the upload takes longer than 10 minutes.
So, I will send you the improved files, and I will edit the Readme myself so it fits with your installation. If you send the instllation back to me and it works, could you than upload the MOD in whatever file hosting site? I'd appreciate it.

Sure, I can take care of that.
Some more information on how the installer broke your T3 installation would help though. All the installer does is read all the files in your mod, then it finds the matching files in T3 and copies them to a backup folder. Upon removal, it reads back all the changed files and then puts the originals back in place. Pretty standard stuff. If it's working fine here but not for you, have another one of your testers run it on a fresh install of T3 to see what happens for them.
Also, what version of windows are you running?

Hmmmm. Nothing out of the ordinary. Oh well. We'll see what happens with the new version. Have you emailed the new zip file yet?

Tony asked me to revise my original review conform to the changes he has made, so here goes.
• Night Vision.
• 3rd person Animations in 1st person Perspective.
• Player Properties
• Changes with Default.INI.
• Improved Minimalist Age Project.
• Improved Lights.
• Tweaked Arrows
Night Vision:
The Night Vision, something that was created by my own request, is an invaluable tool when playing with the brightness down. It spreads a bright green light that purges all shadows that may be hindering your field of view. It has its own icon in the Item's menu which you must switch to before pressing the action button to activate it. It does come with it's drawbacks, however. People in the vicinity will detect something is wrong and go on alert, like Metal Gear Solid 4 and the Solid Eye. This disadvantage is actually good for the game, as it would undoubtedly be too easy if you could have the Night Vision on all of the time. One problem is that the Night Vision replaces the health potion as a world object and a menu icon, so instead of having health potion, and finding health potion in the game world, you will have the small green eyeballs to find instead. This isn't that big of a problem, since the minimalist project tweaks include "More Healthy Food" that replaces health potions.
3rd Person Animations in 1st Person Perspective
The mod changes all 1st person animations to the 3rd person ones, adding more camera inertia and a more "alive" feeling to the game, (Mirror's Edge anyone?). Blackjacking and backstabbing looks great with such smooth kinetic effects. Climbing is slowed down to a realistic level, and so is the bow drawing. The new animations may take a little getting used to along the lines of shooting, as the the bow's sight is a little out of perspective when standing up, but when you are crouching and shooting, everything lines up as it should. Since the camera position is changed on Garrett's body, I noticed that there was subtle Fish-Eye lens effect around the edges of the screen, and it feels like Garrett's head is more "on his shoulders". Buildings look taller, and your feet look farther away (Kind of like when you are in the hazy green memory in the Shalebridge Cradle).
Player Properties
Players can now jump higher and the camera position is changed. Originally, the camera was locked to first person, but now that has been fixed so you can switch back and forth as you please.
Changes to the Default.ini
In the ReadMe, Tony lists all of the changes made specifically, but I am only going to note the ones that are most prominent. There were changes to the gamma, brightness, and contrast in the Default.ini, but I will talk about that when I get to the improved lighting.
Anyway, Garrett is now faster, whether he is creeping, running, or walking, and so is the game's performance! Changes have been made that alter the game's limited frame rate so that things move more smoothly. It is not an incredibly dramatic change, but it is a great addition once you contrast it with the original performance.
Improved Minimalist Project
difficulty of the game has been enhanced, making all play styles more challenging than ever before. And when I say "play styles" I am speaking of the new game modes that have been created. They include "MoneyMaker" "Normal" "Assassin" and "Daredevil." All have their own exclusive set of objectives. All are fun to play. Food is healthier than in the original Minimalist Project, and parallels effects of a regular health potion, which is now gone due the addition of the Night Vision. You can only eat food on the spot, so you can't carry it with you anymore, but it's better than having the food disappear every time you went through a warp. A few textures from John-P's HD T3 pack have been added, but I would recommend downloading the full pack rather than just sticking with what the mod supplies: the full set makes the game look even more awesome.
Improved Lights
Now we come to it: probably the best change that this mod has made: the improved lights. The light now spreads realistically, rather than staying in circular auras around their sources. The contrast has been increased (it is completely customizable from the main menu) and the shadows are darker because of it. It is much harder to find places to hide, also playing on the difficulty levels in a very good way. To put it bluntly: the lights look freaking amazing.
Tweaked Arrows
The arrows now expose you a little bit. The broadheads expose you a little, while the elemental arrows expose you even more due to their glowing tips. Of course, the fire arrow, the real stealth blasphemer, lights you up like a Christmas tree...a Christmas tree covered in spotlights. An intense orange glow emanates them whenever you pull one out, exposing you completely. When I say intense, I mean INTENSE. Fire one of these bad boys down the street and watch all the lighting react: pure eye candy.
New HUD:
The new HUD is smaller and will takes a whole lot less of the screen, plus you don't have to watch those little gears spin around every time you switch items. The closest comparison I can come up with is is the HUD in Condemned 2: Bloodshot.
Well that concludes this thing. I give this mod a 8/10. If you are a nitpicker, and occasional hitches irk you to the point of anxiety, you will be dissatisfied, otherwise, this mod does take some getting used to, but in the end, you're in for a much better game. :thumb:
