Between the recent threads of water trying to wash away an island nation/continent, voting with guns, and torrents of ice crystals hellbent on eliminating humanity, it's time to bring some serious discussion back to the forum. So with that in mind...
Everyone has their guilty pleasure list when it comes to films that you know are shit yet you can't help watching, no matter what. These are some of mine, in no particular order:
- 13th Warrior
- Young Guns (1 & 2)
- They Live
- Phantasm (series)
- Death Race (original)
- Hitman
- Strange Brew
- Minority Report
- Congo
- Revenge of the Killer Tomatoes (Return of the Killer Tomatoes was fucking brilliant)
- Empire Records
- any Richard Donner film
Post yours or discuss, and let's continue to pray for these slow news days.

Just to get things off on entirely the wrong foot; Minority Report is a completely shame free, geniunely great film. It's let down somewhat (ok, a lot) by its smiley happy ending. But other than that it's a rip roaring, cheekily black humoured, sci-fi North by North West.
Anyway
The Butterfly Effect was a bit like that: from pathos to WTF in not time flat (ar ar).
David Lynch's Dune is one of the most bizarrely awful things I've ever seen. Just plain bad and wrong in so so many ways. Yet I've sat through various versions several times. It's the old slo-mo car crash principle I think.
Titanic doesn't quite qualify. I think I've only say though it out of some feeling of duty.
Super Mario Brothers kinda has to be seen to be believed.
I'll think of some more.

Minority Report was great.
* Blazing Saddles
* Top Gun
* The Omega Man

Minority Report could have been a great film if it had of been more Hitchcockian instead of spending too much effort in showing off sci-fi hooey and Tom Cruise. P.K. Dick must have rolled over in his grave from Spielberg's treatment.
You know, Tom Cruise could have been considered one of our finest actors (his role in Collateral proves that)--it's a shame that most of his roles don't allow him to actually act.
Adding to the list...
- Mystery Men (God I love that awful film)

Blazing Saddles? Get out. It's great.
Minority Report was pretty cool actually but then they did use the idea of on of the sci-fi greats. It was a real shame they had that "he uses his old, and 'on-the-run', eyes and no-one thought to lock him out" plot hole of hellballs.
Dune is definitely one of mine and I'm proud to own it on Betamax, yes Betamax.
Universal Soldier
Ladyhawke
Fright Night (though secretly I think it's awesome)
Early Segal

I have an extremely high threshold for shitty movies so... shitty movies that I enjoyed? Too many to list. I can usually find redeeming qualities in the worst pieces of crap.
Hitman? Hey Timothy Olyphant was a lot of fun to watch in that one and there's a Justice song on the soundtrack!

- Death Race (original)
I actually watched
Death Race 2 recently. That's the direct-to-DVD sequel of the remake. It was better than it's predecessor, the remake, I thought. There were some lovingly shot slo-mo set-pieces in it and I hadn't read the plot synopsis to it before I started watching so the ending came as a
holyshitplottwist! at me.
Also yeah I love
Mystery Men as well. I've seen it 4 or 5 times. :D

Oh gawd, Ladyhawke. It's been a while. 'If I can't have her, no man shall!!!'
Almost up there with Highlander II and 'Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. If you don't use it, it's gonna rust.'
I'm going to have to agree with Queue about the Killer Tomato movies. It must have been twelve years or more since I last saw one, but they were so utterly ridiculous even back then to my younger self, I had a goofy grin on my teenage face for pretty much their entire runtime. Gremlins 2 and the Critters movies earn similar spots, but much lower down the chain.
And then there's Torchwood. Oh my, Torchwood. It had its good episodes and its great episodes, but its schlocky, terrible episodes were absolutely special in that they were so bad, they could twist entire parallel dimensions into knotted ropes of taffy. The one with Ianto's 'Cyberwoman' girlfriend stands out as I could only gape at the TV while some of the most egregiously awful makeup, costume design, writing and acting played out across the screen for an hour.

I watch quite a lot of B-stuff, but I guess the Resident Evil movies qualify for this. They're shit, yet I am happy to sit through them for the sake of cheesy action, horrible lines and Milla Jovovich. I don't like the games one bit (seriously, there's nothing I like in those games), so it can't be fanboyism either. The most recent Torchwood stuff (the miniseries) was nearly good, I mean it was. It lost some of it's campy shittyness due to being more grim.

I could second a lot of those ... Dune, LadyHawke (if you count that, then you could also count Beastmaster), 13th Warrior, They Live...
Minority Report didn't do it for me because I was such a fan of the short story long before the movie, though Total Recall did it for me. Go figure..
I'd add, let me look down my movie list...
Total Recall
Krull
8 Mile
Buckaroo Banzai, absolutely
Human Nature & Hudsucker Proxy maybe
Jacob's Ladder
Willow
Real Genius (maybe not a guilty pleasure)
All the Rush Hours, not just RH1
Syriana (love this and most people I know hate it or don't get it)
Little Nikita
The World's Fastest Indian
The Golden Child (also maybe not a guilty pleasure)
Ice Pirates
And the Band Played On
Delirious (the one with John Candy)
Fandango
Red Dawn, holy shit yes
Slipstream
Alien Nation
Gung Ho
Cannon Ball Run
The Last Starfighter -- love this
Yentl, lol
