Hi Folks,
I've added a new Tools section to the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144469) Resources for Mission Authors sticky thread at the top of the forum. Right now it includes the Dromed Basic Toolkit and a variety of tools made by R Soul (some of which are already included in the Dromed Basic Toolkit).
If any of you know of any other useful tools that deserve to be added to that list, please post here and let me know. I'm also open to suggestions for anything else you think should be included in that post, as well.
You may wonder why I didn't just post this in that sticky thread, and the answer is that I don't want that thread to become a long list of posts that people will feel the need to sort through. I want to keep it as it is, a single-post, one-stop shop for author resources.

Is ParchEd included in DromEd Toolkit? If not it should be linked to ... if anyone still hosts it.
Edit: ParchEd is still at (
http://thiefmissions.com/telliamed/)
Also some other useful tools like Thief Font Converter, Thief Song Compiler, CColor Converter 0.9, etc.

Yeah, that would be useful, Ravenhook! :D
Thanks, Larry, I'll look them up. I do know that Thief Song Compiler is included in the Dromed Basic Toolkit, but it never hurts to have standalone links.

Caustics generator: (

Quote:
Caustics can be described as the light pattern you see at the bottom of a pool on a sunny day.
This tool will let you render such caustics light patterns.

That's cool, Larry. Is that something that will work in Dromed? Also, I don't know if we want to start listing offsite tools in that post, or tools that aren't free. I had meant it to be a list of tools created specifically for Dromed / Dark Engine for this community. But I'm happy to include any that would be useful. I'll put the question to you all. What would you prefer?

It creates texture files which can be formatted to be used as a mission author sees fit, say, as new water types. And while you can buy high end versions, there is a version which is free for non-commercial use.
I would think that having a section for listing general use free / inexpensive tools such as Anim8or or IrfanView or Blender or ... which are commonly used by mission authors would be of service to the community

Thanks for the clarification, Larry. I added it to the list.

Added, thanks!
