Cool stats Faetal. Does not surprise me knowing ttlg.
I know what you mean. Some people clocking >300 hours, christ... how do you not get bored?
I personally know the other four people that I regularly stack with in Dota. Getting serious about it is an all day social event with drinking, food, women. It is like getting people together for a football game. Were it not for that fact I probably would have quit playing within the first two hours of starting.
Probably for the best, really. :tsktsk:

Ah that reminds me of my DoD Clan days... while it wasn't a party event, I've sunk so much time into it. I was part of a "realism" group so we did drills, had a several squads/companies, and I led our Intelligence team for a while devising strats for clan matches.
Good times, the sense of community and belonging can really extend a game's life.

According to my Steam stats, my top 10 are:
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition - 273 hours
Dark Souls 2 - 231 hours
Skyrim - 208 hours
Fallout: New Vegas - 91 hours
Thief (2014) - 61 hours
Bioshock: Infinite - 56 hours
STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl - 17.7 hours
Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY - 15.7 hours
Half Life 2 - 12 hours (this one's not true; I've played through it three or four times).
I know some of that Dark Souls time is me leaving the game running while I go do something else, but I'd bet even without that it'd still edge the top spot. But if I'd played Morrowind on Steam, it would be the king for sure.

Human Revolution (+DC & Missing Link) - 68hrs
Arkham City - 67hrs
Dishonored - 57hrs (missing one off-steam playthrough so this is probably #2)
Deus Ex - 25hrs
Alan Wake (+American Nightmare) - 23.4hrs
Arkham Asylum - 20hrs
Uplink - 17.7 hrs
The Witcher EE - 17.4hrs (This should be MUCH higher as I switched to the GoG version at the Swamps... the sequel would be on here too)
Vampire Bloodlines - 17hrs
The Walking Dead Season 1 - 14.9hrs
And I thought I spent way too much time gaming! It completely boggles my mind how anyone could play even one game for 300+ hrs and also have a job, in addition to playing other games... how do you do it? I guess I have terrible time management.

Dark Souls 2 has been out since April 2014. Since that time I've played 231 hours, or about 38 hours per month (I spent one month out of the country this year). I don't generally play more than one game at a time, so that seems pretty reasonable to me, even with a job and a partner.

I have almost 400 hours in Dark Souls 2 and I got that by playing about 2 hours a day (more on weekends). That's not too much, right? :) Remember folks, two hours of Dark Souls a day keeps the curse away.

I'd say I use Steam for upwards of 90% of my gaming these days, so it's a useful marker for people like me, though the fact that it doesn't log offline gaming, counts idle time while games are in pause and is prone to errors (benefit of the doubt Henke ;)), I'm taking it all with a pinch of salt.
I thought it was obvious that these aren't entirely representative of what and how much people play, for reasons you said, and also in case of non-steam games. For example, last winter I put about 70+ hours into Dead Space 3, so it would be on the list if it wasn't an Origin game.

Of note for playing stats, account value, as well as to profile how much money you've spent on Steam over the years, (
http://www.mysteamgauge.com/) MySteamGauge does the business. The old goto SteamCalculator's still WIP, so this works decently enough. Here's (
http://www.mysteamgauge.com/account?username=crimsonwing) mine.
You'll have to log into Steam on your browser and pull out the bookmarklet (
http://www.mysteamgauge.com/receipt) here at the 'Store Transactions' page to get a sum of how much money you've spent on the Steam storefront, but it's a small amount of effort to know exactly how bad the habit is.
The math on gaming time says I've done approximately an hour and a half of gaming per day over the last 7 years. Not too bad for a habit. Also puts into perspective the # of games vs. time spend ratio. Logic dictates that I should be buying less games, because if that's my overall time spend, it doesn't make sense to mop up everything I
think I want to play that's gone on sale. I'll only get around to 'em months or years later at this rate.
Awright, that's enough introspection for the week. It's Saturday and there's bunches of things to be done. Anyone else feel like posting their stats?

Assetto Corsa is now up to 106 hours for me, no idea where it's going to end up but I wouldn't be surprised if a few years from now it's over 1,000.
Edit: Make that 108. Goddamn it Kunos.
229. About to fire this sucker up again. Goddamn it.

Yeah, since I posted my top ten here about a month ago, both Alien Isolation and Styx have creeped into my top ten, knocking out Miasmata and Dungeons of Dredmor. Won't be long before Styx is in my top 5.

Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 are like 500+ hours on mine. Those are the most entertaining games I've played in years. Hopefully Evolve is sweet, too.
