The one thing I would like to change would involve corpse looting. At the gas station level there is a bum who will sell you some weapon mods. If I kill him, I get the key, but not the mods he was selling. Where is the logic in that?

I noticed a lot of people griping about the UT engine, or things that are largely the fault of the UT engine (AI, sound propigation)
With regards to DX 2 - Hasn't anyone else noted that T3 and DX2 are pretty much being developed by the same group? I imagine they might develop an engine for both. Both games have similar engine needs, so if they share both games get twice the engine development.

1. Larger inventory (it's kinda cool to be able to hide a GEP gun up your right sleeve and a plasma rifle up your left sleeve). ;)
2. Picking up a body that has items even when your inventory is full. I hate being forced to drop stuff just to move a body around.
3. A way to filter out items from pick-up; there are times when I *never* want to pick up soyfood or pepper cartridges, etc. So don't waste my time making me drop that junk.
4. Slots for accepting all possible augmentations and being able to upgrade to full augmentation before the end of the game (like about half-way through so that using full-power augs is fun). May have to resort to using ALT-function key assignments....
5. Faster skill point accumulation. I don't like waiting until near the end of the game to get my first MASTER rating.
6. More effective weapon mods. Example: Adding a modclip to a sniper rifle gives me one more bullet; big deal. A modclip should at least double the clip capacity (for the first mod -- like adding a whole 'nother clip).
7. Hacking enemy bots to make them friendly and fight my enemies; either when they are inactive or by crawling behind them and hacking. Maybe something like a permanent NanoVirus thing.
8. Multi-tool that displays a hacked code for the keypad.
9. A light exposure meter like Thief for hiding in the shadows; useful only for hiding from organics that don't have infrared/sonar vision.
I'll think up some more later. Right now I have to smack Walton Simons....

The 20mm ammo in the assult rifle is v. effective against MJ Commandos and spider bots :) :)

xarax, most of your points seem to be about making the player more powerful earlier on. I think this is a bad idea as there would be nothing new later on in the game. That's why they save the best for last as it were, so you have something new to play with.
One thing I'd like to see is no repair bots. You might think this makes it too difficult but think about how many bio cells you collect during the game. Though you might use one or two when there's no bot around, I think you should be forced to use them more.

Something I'd like to see is an expanded inventory system. Maybe not more space, but quarter the maximum number of items in a stack, and let the player carry multiple stacks of the same object. When I think of JC and his coat I think of Neo and his pile of guns.
No real reason why I shouldn't be able to carry 4 pistols of the same make if they want to.
If you are an excellent lockpicker, you can probably get by with one stack of lockpicks without running out. If you're worse, you have to dedicate more inventory space to make sure you can pick multiple tough locks.
Ammo should take space too (and make the space a little larger to accomidate), and be pickupable, droppable, etcetera. So if you want to have a lot of grenades, pistol ammo, shotgun ammo, etcetera, you can carry as much as you can fit.

I'm surprised the Man With A Million Feet bug hasn't been mentioned! One head bob = Twelve footsteps! Not right...
And, yeah, what they said :)

On the matter of inventory:
The items used by Environmental skill should not have limited use (maybe with exception of the rebreather). Body armor that only lasts 30 seconds? That rivals SS2's daffy cardboard weapons that break every 20 rounds or so. Ablative armor I could see - damage taken gradually wears away the armor - but this "charge" nonsense has to go. Tech goggles lasting only a few seconds is also absurd. 1970s era PVS-5 night vision goggles (which the tech goggles look exactly like) last several hours on a battery. A further nit with the armor and hazard suits: they only take up one inventory space. So, my crowbar is larger than a full body hazard suit? I suppose that Ion Storm put duration on those items for play balance issues, but if they made them the appropriate size in the inventory, that would probably settle the balance issues (who would want to lug around such a bulky items? Think of the enviro suit in SS2).

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Seriously though, I agree with most of the comments so far. Most of the augs just aren't essential enough. The ones I use most of the time are recirculator, regeneraion, and ballistic protection. With those three running at once you are just about invincible. The others are usually not worth the bio power.</STRONG>
You don't need a fancy name to be sinister - just look at one of the names of the Prince of Darkness - "Bill Gates."
Actually, I think "Bob Page" is supposed to resemble Bill Gates in more ways than just the vanilla name ;).
