Ok Guys Ive really tried not to post another thread but i can't find the solution too this one. Basically ive placed two torches in a room/air brush and rotated them 180 degrees to place them on the wall beside a door. Ive moved them in close then Edit > Wall me menu command. However they scoot/zip right across the room and wall themselves on the oposite wall with the front of the torch connected to the wall and the bracket sticking outwards. The torches are still in the correct orientation but on the wrong wall. What have i done or failed to do when i rotated the torches heading by 180 ? Well im assuming theres some other property that needed to be adjusted but im lost so please advise. Ive looked into the torch properties and theres a lot in there so specific instructions as to what property and how to locate it will be neeeded if this is the case !

Walling objects only works with some objects and not with others. It is based on how the object model was oriented when it was built as a 3ds model. If the model maker oriented it incorrectly, it will not wall correctly. IIRC, the Front of the model must be facing Left (not intuitive), but unless you make your own custom objects that's merely another interesting, but useless, fact. There is nothing you can do in DromEd to get it to wall correctly if it was built incorrectly. Sorry.

That wall me feature might work with the Thief 1 torch but the Thief 2 torch is 180 degrees from the Thief 1 torch.

When Wall Me doesn't work, I just drag it close and then zoom in real close (the + key) and fine adjust it with the < and > buttons beside the appropriate field.

wall_object always moves the north face of the object to the nearest surface. As john says, the T1 torch has a different rotation to the T2 torch. For T1, rotate the object by 180 (relative to the correct direction for your wall), use wall_me then change the rotation back. It's the same for ElecWallLights, and they weren't fixed for T2.

Ahh ok guys thanks. Rotating it 180 then wall me then rotating it back works great. So simple yet i never thought of it. Litle things like this trips up us newbies :/
